When we join the skype group call tomorrow for finalists to prepare for the interview, I’m assuming this is a non-video group call? Also, should we have our microphones off because if everyones were on that could be a disaster.
I would think this is a regular meeting over the phone not over Skype. So it is at 1 or 7pm Eastern time, correct?

How crucial was the orientation? I slept through the first one because of jet lag, and then I missed the second one because I was busy and totally forgot :((((. Do you think I will manage to do okay without participating in the orientation?

The call just went over basic information.
- You’re competing against 15 other people in your region and 10 will win
- Minimize background distractions
- Test your skype beforehand
- They call you, not the other way around
- 15 min call, 7-8 questions (one per judge), try to answer all the judges questions without having extra time, but if you don’t get to all of the questions it is okay.
- Not super formal, just want to get to know you, dress like you normally would but put some thought into your outfit.
