This is incorrect. D24 received an invite yesterday from Wilson to interview for scholarships. The interview is next month.

So based on past threads, does everyone think EA decisions will come out this Friday afternoon?

Our college counselors sent out an email about kids waiting to hear from NCSU and UNC, and we’ve gotten 2 emails about FAFSA from NC State admissions.

There was a post from a NC counselor on the Facebook page “paying for college 101” and he said he “knows” it is Friday based on what the counselors were told by admissions.

Some of the “studio-based majors” at NC State heard in December that they would be interviewed–part of admissions not the scholarships. (so for Wilson–fashion/textile design)

That means NC State, Georgia Tech and possible UNC Chaepl Hill and U Miami are all coming on the same day.

Also the email we received from our college counselor office (at a private school) mentioned they had sent in 1st semester grades to NCSU/UNC and had spoken to admissions officers as well.

Interesting since midyear grades aren’t required. Mine submitted hers unofficially, but many schools just completed midyear grades this week.

We are at a private school so it’s different than public school schedules.

My friend literally got into Wilson for fashion design and committed, maybe RD is different

My daughter applied EA, not RD.

It might just be rolling out differently because I know 2 people who have fully committed to Wilson, they had interviews early December and got decisions right before the holidays

Are you sure submission of first semester grades wasn’t for RD applicants?

It may just be standard that private schools send them to all schools where kids applied just to make it easy for them.

No, all our kids at our school applied EA for almost everywhere they applied. It’s just standard that the counselors send 1st semester grades to NCSU and UNC. Our semester ended in Dec. so we had grades once they returned to school after winter break.
