Anyone’s portal changing yet? Lots of people wondering if this Friday will be the day. If I remember correctly, my child’s portal changed about 36-48 hours before the info was released. And we were able to use the trick that to see that she’d been admitted.

We found out in December because of the Park, but I hope it’s this weekend for everyone else. :crossed_fingers:

What is the trick??

I don’t think we see any changes although has there always been a tab that says ā€œadmitted studentsā€ and when you click on it, it says you’ve done what it takes to be accepted by NC State? I’m figuring that’s been there all along but a bit of an odd tab to have in the application portal.

In the admissions fb acct a couple days ago they mentioned decisions dropping on the 30th. So may not be early this year. :woman_shrugging:t2:

If you use your UnityID you can sign in, and if you have an AED available to pay, you most likely have gotten in. At least that’s what I learned from prior threads. I tried it out in December, and I had the AED in my Unity Portal, and the next day I got my acceptance letter!!! So it worked for me at least.

Hi, I’m appling EA to NC state, here are some of my stats
Out-of state

Major:Computer Engineering

Co-founded a non-profit coding club providing resources for kids to learn coding, robotics, and related subjects.
Ran Track and Field and Cross Country through 3 years of high school

YIG and MUN delegate won 2 awards among 2 years of doing it.

Helped with community projects such as the community website.
Science Olympiad 6th place at state for Fossils
Helped create TSA chapter at school and Head of Fundraising .
Recommendation Letters: From Precalculus and Environmental Science teachers.
I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough estimate on my decision based on my stats, I know my GPA is lower than the average but my grades have shown an overall upward trend since sophomore year.
Should I email them about my poor grade trend during sophomore year?

Has anybody been able to log into the Pack portal with their unity ID? My D was able to because she had applied for scholarships. It used to just take her to the scholarship page. Today it went to the whole portal. It listed a NCSU email address underneath her personal one. We don’t know if that means anything or if everyone has that?

That very likely means she has been accepted unless she has always had an email from them. You should be able to find a way to see an actual accepted area.

Thank you!! I’m going to have her check again once she’s home.

We also have this tab. Tabs are not visible on mobile display (that I can see) but this tab is visible on desktop display. I do not know if it was there before or not.

My daughter has that tab also that makes it sound likes she’s been admitted. Does everyone have it?

How do folks see this? How does one see their UnityID?

I see the tab on the desktop. The mobile version of the portal doesn’t have any tabs at all that I can see.

My daughter does everything on mobile so I don’t know whether that tab has always been there or not.

Here is the hack that was used last year that worked two days before decisions were released. Note that I haven’t checked any of the links.

(Our last name is five letters long so I also haven’t bothered to attempt the steps.)

Whats the point in the tabs though? I see tabs but they don’t really go anywhere. The Admitted Students tab just goes to an admitted students link. Are folks seeing something else?

We aren’t seeing anything other than what you have stated.
The questions are: Does everyone have that Admitted Students tab? Has it always been there?

My child does have all those tabs but I don’t know if it means anything. He does not have an NCSU email address so hopefully that does not mean anything.

This worked for us last year. Our name is also 5 letters long, and we just used the five letters and it worked. If memory serves me right, they roll out over a few days, so we were able to see my child’s the morning of release. (The last friday of the month.)
