I’m the one who originally made that, and I will caution that people who it didn’t work for were later accepted. So don’t give up hope if you can’t get it to work.

Almost all colleges use the same software. The decision link is usually [applicant portal]/apply/update?id=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
This id, which is of course unique for each college/applicant, can be copied from the end of the URL when you click withdraw application.
I wonder when the result link becomes available. I’m assuming only at the moment they release, and not a minute before.
I tried to use that on all of mine last year. It only got me a 5 minute jump on decisions at best, usually none.

On the reddit site two people posted that they have received decisions this week. Do they not release decisions on the same day?

It looks like international students have rolling admissions, so unfortunately probably doesn’t have much meaning for domestic EA results timing.

From the UNC thread, it sounds like those decisions are being released tomorrow. Do people expect NC state to release as well. From past forum posts it looks like they typically release the same day
State isn’t always the same day.

The reason I am skeptical with news tomorrow is because the last couple years there were changes with the withdraw button in the days leading up to release.

Somewhere on the forum from last year there was a post listing all of the historical decision release dates, including the RD/Deferral ones….it was maybe from the past 5 years or so. They were always at 5pm or after, and always on a Friday.
I can confirm that last year, the EA decision date was scheduled for 1/30 and they were released on 1/26 and RD date was scheduled for 3/30 and decisions were released on 3/22!!

Saw this on Facebook. High school counselor said the following:
Applications increased dramatically in Poole College of Mgmt (22%) and Engineering (12%)
Average acceptance was 4.3-4.54 (weighted) and 3.89-4.0 (unweighted)
47% had test scores submitted - more in Engineering and College of Science
Most competitive - Engineering, business, psychology, animal science, and sports mgmt
Excellent - OOS son applied to sports management
