Portal says waiting decision on status.
In the past EA and RD decisions have come out in waves starting around 5 PM EST. The northeast is first then spreading out south and west. All decisions were out by 9 PM EST.

someone said every year it is released on the 4th Wednesday of January. Today is the 4th Wednesday, but not the last Wednesday of January. So itâs either today or next Wednesday

I called admissions. They said by February 15. Thatâs all they said. I think they keep it vague so they can release when they are ready.

Do you know if emails are sent out to check the portal, or do you just have to know?
I just asked my son who is a second year there, and two years ago he said he did not receive an email. EA decision for him was 1/26, which was a Wednesday.

I wonder if the FAFSA delay this year is impacting decision timelines for need-aware schools like NEU.
Even though they use CSS Profile too, it wouldnât surprise me if they need a little extra time this year to decide on the early round, given the delay with FAFSA data.

You might be right
Many CSS Profile schools are providing estimated award packages without the FAFSA and adjusting afterwards, if needed. I heard that directly from Syracuse and Northeastern financial aid and scholarship offices.

Email comes out about 15 minutes after decisions are visible online.
