Last year EA decision for our California friend didn’t come out until 1/30. For her it was a deferral so not sure if those come later than acceptances.
BTW she was then accepted NUin in March.

Guess decisions aren’t today?
so based on what everyone’s saying, decisions are likely coming out next Wednesday, or possibly sometime next month?
I guess so…
Again…LAST year (2023) the EA decision date was: “BY Jan 31”. This year (2024) is “BY Feb 15”. WHY is everyone going by last year’s date if it has been changed this year? Don’t get me wrong…my kid would LOVE to know ASAP. I wish it was yesterday BUT I think this thread is barking up the wrong tree with the date being pushed.
yeah that’s a good point. do you know when the decision date for ED2 last year was? was it “by feb 15” or “march 1”
In the main page of NU portal, if you examine the source code (press ctrl+U), and then do ctrl+F “defer”, or “accept”, or “reject”, do you see anything?
Has it always said “build your NU journey” on the portal?
I see this code: “data-export=“sys:app:deferred_app_category”
Then I also see another thing that says “Defer your application”
Nothing about accept or deny/reject
I see the same
I have the 2nd line but not the first.
There was a very similar thread on the Michigan site about this source code along with an explanation of why it is meaningless…
Yes
The Michigan thread was about a postpone button, but postpone was just a JavaScript element. “Defer_app_category” is clearly not a JS element
could be some nice portal astrology right there
what about the defer app category part?
Does everyone have the enrollment checklist?
My husband who’s a software engineer says it’s just style coding for buttons that appear if certain conditions are met. It’s just html and not directly connected to any backend decision…
Good grief!
The portal astrology on UMich EA thread is LOL hilarious. Hundreds of posts detailing changes in portal color, source code, and predictive UMich social media posting certain campus locations.
