It should not shift with no reason. Normally web page is controlled by a style file and appearance should be consistent. As an application support myself, it normally means someone is touching the codes. It looks like there is something (not yet enabled) will occupy the space next to it so alignment has shifted.

Thanks ! Sounds like they are close to handing out decisions then. why else would they mess with the web page?
I’m going to venture out and say tomorrow will be the day. Just my opinion no insider knowledge whatsoever.

what 's the acceptance rate for college of business at NU?
there’s no published acceptance rate for the business school. however, you don’t get admitted by major so it doesn’t really matter.

Overall, taking everything everyone has said in this thread, when do you guys think Early Action decisions will be released?
but isnt admission by at least school if not major?
i think a lot of people were guessing last tues in jan based on previous years, but they also said release by jan 31st in previous years. my money’s on either next tuesday or the week after
Ok I’m not a betting gal, but heck I’ll put everything in the bank on early decisions coming out by Feb 15.

Does anyone know if kids will get an email from Northeastern telling them to check their portal when there’s a decision? Or will they just have to keep checking the portal at random times?

FWIW, for ED this year, Northeastern had said “by Jan 1” (or maybe it was Dec 31). In any case, they released the decisions more than two weeks before that date. I’m hoping the EA decisions will similarly be released about two weeks early!

also heard ED came out at 7pm so i am hopeful still!
Admissions says you will get an email notifying you of an update to your portal.

still nothing as of 1/30 7pm est. id assume tomorrow at the earliest but likely next week

No idea when EA decisions will come out. But in the past EA and RD decisions have come out starting around 5 PM EST. They come out in waves, geographically. First wave is Massachusetts, then the waves fan out throughout New England, then sweeping south and then west. All decisions should be out by 9 PM EST.
ED decisions came out in one batch at 7 PM EST since there were maybe 4000 versus over 50,000 EA applicants.
Also, all decisions are final. You cannot switch to the Boston campus if admitted to Oakland, London, NU In etc.

Serious question for the group… For those stressed/anxious about the decision coming out over 2 weeks early…
Do your kids know or feel the intensity of how you’re feeling? Are you hiding it and just expressing here? I’m super curious about how other parents are behaving/coping irl…
