My daughter got in! We are shocked! Such a nice surprise. One of her top choices. Yes, college admissions make no sense! She got flat out rejected from Ohio State the other day! And who’s the better school here? No comparison for NE!

Um, well some might argue with the lack of comparison there - I mean OSU is higher rated by US News so they might argue with it at least…

My son’s preference was for Oakland campus but he is admitted to N.U.in and no location specified.
Location selection will be provided in spring is what I see. Is this the norm?
Yes. A student is not assigned an NU In location. You have the choice of locations. Not all majors can go to all locations.

D25 was deferred, but ready to move on. 3.98 UW GPA, 34 ACT, leadership positions at a competitive public HS, EC’s were consistent from many years and were her passion.
Wondering if an applicant saying Boston campus only in the application gives them a higher chance of deferral in EA rounds?

D25 accepted EA and into the N.U.In Program with $10K/first year and $5K every semester afterwards. She’s a Political Science Major… any thoughts on where she can study abroad for the first year? It seems open-ended.
that’s what we received also. I wonder why it’s framed that way. Why not say for all four years?

Spring semester is in Boston.

The scholarship is for 8 semesters. Some students may choose to do the 5 year plan but the scholarship is still for 8 semesters of class time.

You’ll have a choice of prob 3-4 countries. My son was in Berlin and it was amazing. Such an incredible life experience and they go to Boston in January with very close friends!

Daughter accepted London Scholars. Did not see Merit award on letter so checking the tab as suggested. Stats: 3.8 UW 5.2 WGPA 18 APs Model UN, Debate
Son accepted for CS in oakland campus. But we dont see any merit…now i am thinking , Is 80k+/ yr even worth for northeastern ?
