Ive already called them an excessive amount of times this month asking various things lol. I hope it didnt affect my decision or come off as disrespectful. But clearly im neurotically anxious about it and they could have told me something like ‘BSN decisions have or have not been released.’ Why is the goal to be as obscure as possible. I dont get it. I found someone on reddit who got into my major so i pretty much know its over
Has anyone got in for business?
I doubt contacting them would affect your decision. A lot of people do it. What’s your major? And it’s not over until you actually receive a rejection. You don’t know what’s going to happen. No one does.
Nursing,BSN
I saw that the yield rate for the class of 2027 was 50%. Couldn’t that mean we have a greater chance of getting in since there are more spots left, or am I interpreting the meaning of yield rates wrong
You might be getting yield rates and retention rate mixed up. Retention rate is how much of the student class stays at a certain university. While yield rates is how many of the students that were offered admission actually enrolled in the university.
I called admissions today and asked if they are releasing any today. She seemed uncertain and said more likely tomorrow. Does anyone know if anyone was accepted friday last year or if it was universal rejection?
correct. the transfer admit rate for 2023 was 25%. if you look at the survey on reddit (10 admitted and 50 still waiting), that would be 16% assuming the 50 still waiting are all rejections.
Wait it could still be tmrw but I just realized June 15th was a Thursday last year I am pretty sure. So it could be waiting until the day June 15th, or we could get decisions today
Just guessing of course but I feel like they’ll reject everyone tomorrow.
That’s what it’s feeling like
Why does everyone think that all of the decisions tomorrow are going to be rejections? Bc I still haven’t seen anyone from some majors accepted. Do we know for certain that no one has ever been accepted during the last wave, or is this just what is believed to happen? Has admissions or NEU actually confirmed that the last wave is only for rejections? Also, not everyone is going to commit to NEU. So, won’t it vary?
I don’t think they’re mixing up yield rates with retention rates. I saw that same percentage on Ivy Wise. Not sure how reliable that website is, but it clearly says yield rates and not retention rates.
All I know is I am looking at NEU transfer 2023 thread last year, I see virtually no acceptances, it seems everyone on the board was mostly rejected at the last second. I think our pool of people on CC and Reddit so small, it’s very probable there are lots of people being accepted for other majors we do not hear from, they just happen to be less neurotic and so not having a panic attack on a corner of the internet like me 24/7

It’s the common data set for Northeastern. You can find the number of how many transfers enrolled last year.
Hope it helps.
24%
91.3% enrolled, so I do not think a waitlist is needed.
and I am sure they make the number of offers counting on a certain number NOT accepting based on past experience.
