Hello! Has anyone who is on the waitlist been accepted yet?

nope, not yet.

Yesterday my son received and email from Northeastern that he was accepted from the waitlist. It did state he was accepted for his major, engineering, there is housing available and he received a scholarship of $5000 a year. He must respond by 5/10.

It is a dilemna since he was looking forward to attending Wentworth and they gave him a considerable amount of scholarship money.

Why the dilemma if he was looking forward to Wentworth? Was it because NEU his first choice and after being waitlisted; he made himself look at Wentworth's positive aspects more?

Actually first choice was WPI but he was waitlisted there as well. Certainly when he didn't get into his first choices he looked closer at Wentworth and realized he would be happy and successful attending there but the dilemma is that I believe NEU has the better engineering program. Of course over the five years the cost to attend NEU would cost me over $100,000 more than attending Wentworth.

i personally dont think 100k in debt is worth it.

Yes that does seem to be the way we are leaning. Wentworth looks good in many ways not the least financial. Thanks for your thoughts.

I got in off the waitlist yesterday also (biochemistry)

for those 2 that got in, did you guys send them a letter saying that you're still interested and blah blah blah after you guys got waitlisted?

I got in off the wait list yesterday.. to be honest I never actually applied for it, but I think they must have put me on automatically when my guidance counselor called. I'm going to Boston College anyways so I'll tell them that I'm not interested I guess.

What major did you get accepted for? (since I know people are accepted off the waitlist by major).

I'm a math major in the arts and sciences school. I'm pretty sure everyone will be notified by june 1st so if people say no to the wait list then maybe they will accept more people off of the wait list. I really don't know much about it; this is what they said. Best of luck to you!!

I am pleased to inform you that you are among a small group of waitlisted students who now have an opportunity to join the fall 2010 entering class at Northeastern University.

Since demand is high for the limited spaces we have available, please confirm your interest by replying to this e-mail by 5pm on May 10. Once we receive confirmation of your interest, we will provide you with additional information about the enrollment process. Please be assured that a space is available in the major of your choice. In addition, University housing is still available.

Question to those of you who faxed the waitlist letter. Did we have to include some sort of cover sheet? (This is the first time I've ever faxed anything haha)

are they not accepting anymore waitlist ppl? or was may 6th the only day?

Yes, I believe they are still accepting people off the waitlist, but because it is a personal email, it would not be coming on the weekends. They will accept people until they fill up all the spots!

Anyone hear anything about the architecture waitlist (if it really is done by department)? I have a friend who's eagerly waiting to hear.

Anyone hear about the waitlist for nursing majors?

Or for the political science major?

Fingers crossed for Music Business!

Wait, so are most of them gonna up by the end of May/mid-June?
