4.00/4.00 UW GPA / 4.67 weighted (11 total aps by the end of senior year)
state:GA
ACT: 32 (I think this might have hurt me?)
Major: Political Science and Biology combined major / pre med track (I also don’t think NEU is big on pre med so this could’ve also been a factor?)
White female
VP of NHS, president of multiple clubs, policy debate for 2 years, theatre for other two years, had a part time job for awhile too.
I visited and went to information sessions at my school and emailed my rep a few times.
didn’t apply for FA
Not really sure why I was deferred, I guess this was just a competitive group? I’m also taking 6 out of my 11 APs in senior year so I’m also guessing they wanted mid year grades as well
I was accepted to NU.in. I am kind of confused why they did not just defer/reject me because I specifically put on my application that I did not want to be considered for this program. There’s no way I’m going to go because I don’t want to study abroad my first semester. I’m not sure if anyone else had a similar experience?
deferred - very competitive high school, gpa 4.0, 34 ACT, huge extra curricular … science research all ap’s with 4’s and 5’s - what is going on here!??
