how many ppl get waitlisted?

Waitlisted, no tears this time. We don’t plan to opt-in with NW, several great offers are on the table.

Congrats to those admitted!

I’ll give the same advice as I gave to S24 (Northwestern was his #1 after his ED school) - put your name on the wait list, maybe send a LOCI and then forget about it and get excited about a school where you’ve been accepted. Relative to the number of kids waitlisted - typically in the thousands - only a very small number (if any) will eventually receive an offer of admission.

What’s your major? Just curious, my nephew has similar stats.

This was S24’s first waitlist. Otherwise, 2 rejections and 4 acceptances. Stung a little bit as it was one of his top choices, but he is taking it in stride.

Waitlisted!

5th waitlist. Do we win anything?

(Also, one parent legacy; varsity athlete; band (with a weird instrument), average other ECs, decent essays? No idea on recs (but I’m suspicious)

Chance for getting off at least one waitlist is high if you have 5 waitlist.

I mean. I hope so. But not optimistic.

Also, it’s been a tough run since mid-December and the ED deferral from his #1 choice. Was really looking forward to being done on April 1.

Oh well. Roll with the punches.
