Northwestern HPME Part 1

yea easonh89, I called and faxed in my intel sts form…but haven’t heard bad either :frowning: sigh* I was hoping that intel might have been the kick to push me over the interview fence

and yea ppenguin757, I am in LA too…just waiting for that letter/email

hey everyone. just to clarify, Jason Palmer is no longer a part of the HPME program. I don’t know what happened :-/

I emailed him today with a lot of additional info from dec-present and I got a reply from Kim Considine.

I was gonna call him to ask if he didn’t reply but I guess Kim replied for him.

Has anyone got a rejection letter as yet or is it only the accepted for interview people that have heard from HPME?

what did your email say Leticia? did she give you any info about whether your decision had already been made?

Nothing besides thanks for more info.
Also, she said decisions would be coming soon…they’re still screening.

Okay, so on the hpme application form there wasn’t really a place to describe your research…shoudl we have sent in an extra abstract type thing? Should I do that now, or do you think they wouldn’t appreciate it.

Also, if we were sent a presidential scholar invite/app thingy, should we tell hpme? Is it important?

aww jason’s gone? that’s too bad, I honestly thought he was a cool guy. He seemed really like down to earth and stuff.

:waiting till april: tennis season will really help this waiting thing go by quickly.

PS: i took your advice jon, and since the time between my HPME interview and now, I’ve beaten Halo 3 on legendary and i’m almost a Lieutenant (i forgot how fun Live was on Halo 2. :)

yea i was wondering why i didnt see jason palmer.

ya I was wondering because when I called to update stuff, Kim told me to fax it to her and put it to her attention.

i sadly have yet to beat halo 3 let alone beat it on legendary. there be not enough time to play video games.

Easonh89, you mentioned that you e-mailed Jason Palmer. Could you please tell me his e-mail address?
Thanks in advance.

yah, could you let us know that? This waiting is nerve-wrecking :frowning: Why can’t they let us know either way? I hope that it means that we will be interviewed since we have not received the rejection letter. And as long as we have HOPE, we shall not give up … :)

Did anyone try to contact jason or kim to find out if you are in the interview list? Will she tell us if we asked?

Thats strange. Jason Palmer must have recently been removed or stepped down from the HPME program because he was the one who sent me my interview email earlier this month. Strange.

Well, I guess that email doesn’t help anyone anymore. I wonder what happened. This is very odd, considering it is halfway through the interviews and through the admissions process.

Who has received a rejection letter? Anyone???

My counselor called the office today, and they said in a few weeks, we will know one way or the other. I can’t stand the wait!

Also, is Kim the person who is in charge of everything now? If so, what’s her e-mail address?

mahavir10: Don’t bother sending research stuff in, i guess you could but it wouldn’t improve your chances now. imho if we haven’t gotten an interview this late already nobody is getting any, except for one or two more people

wait jarnizzl, they said a few weeks? because…I though they are only doing interviews until early march
