Northwestern HPME Part 1

Monica121, I’d recommend posting elsewhere in the forum and not on this thread. The only 6-year program I’ve hard of is UMKC.

NEOUCOM - throguh Youngstown State University, University of Akron, or Kent State University - is a 6-year program…
there are a couple threads about it on the site

monica, there is a huge thread on this board that lists a majority, if not all, of the combined programs and i suggest you search that rather than ask here

Yes!!!

^ what is that about Don?
also, do any current HPME students know the size of the envelope in which the decision comes in? I really hope its a big package or a thick envelope.

any news on when decisions are going to be released?

i called them recently and they said that decisions will be mailed for HPME on Friday and they will follow up with an email on Tuesday

the acceptance letter is actually in a thin, regular sized envelope. It may look like a rejection letter envelope. And I remember getting it with my Northwestern acceptance (in seperate envelopes).

that kind of sucks because I was hoping that I could be able to tell by the size of the envelope. Decisions are going to be in the mail today!

ooo boy the suspense…

wait, really? i called and they said mid-April…wow…
ok, i’m a little nervous now…okay a LOT nervous…

Now that Northwestern’s admissions have come out, when do HPME results arrive?

I received a letter in the mail with my HPME acceptance the day after I was accepted to NU online. I think I was one of the first to get a letter though, as people continued to receive them for the next couple of days. I live in a small town in CA too, so it wasn’t really a distance thing.
It was a thin envelope with one sheet of paper in it. You’ll probably know by Tuesday at the latest. good luck!!!

oh and I was an applicant LAST YEAR, not this year, just to clarify.

ellen are you at Northwestern right now?

yay! I got into Northwestern
now i really need HPME
im definately going if i get in

I got accepted two years ago. It came in the middle of the first week of April (NJ)

oh yeah, it’s a thin (acceptance) letter in a normal sized envelope and the address was handwritten.

hmm, the rejection letter will be in a big envelop with the address printed then :)

im so glad i looked here bc i had this sinking feeling when i looked at my decision online and there was nothing that remotely looked like hpme anywhere there, it didn’t even mention it. so i thought that was their polite way of saying sorry, ur rejected. im just glad that they arrive separately so there is still hope. And thanks for the note about the small envelope, ellen, that makes it a lot easier to check my mail, let me tell u!
