Where can I find information about the Financial Aid/Scholarships offered. Like basically I want to know how much I would end up paying if I choose to attend and I couldn’t find the answer no matter where I looked. For some other colleges like Johns Hopkins its straightforward “click here for financial aid letter”, but I still can’t find it for North Western am I not looking hard enough or has it still not been released?
Northwestern FA pkgs will be released in about a week is so.
@jin2000 Congrats on Purdue! We liked everything about their engineering program when we visited. My son almost declared that as a major and ultimately decided on comp sci. (Which is IN the engineering school everywhere else he’s been accepted.)
We really knew nothing about the school until he started looking at colleges (other than Big 10 sports, of course), and we don’t know a soul who goes there. Is it your top pick so far?
@Volunteerism Thanks.
@Happytoapply Yes, you are right I should respect her feelings. I thought she should not care since she was already accepted by WashU Olin last week, but obviously I was wrong, her reaction is so strong tonight:(
I’m confused. Why would you need to see the letter? If it’s a rejection, you already know what it says. Do you think she is lying to you? I can’t imagine any other reason for wanting to see the actual letter.
My own daughter was just waitlisted. I didn’t ask to see the waitlist letter. It went to her email. I suppose she’d show it to me if I asked, but why?
Son accepted into RTVF. 1490 SAT, 4.26 W/3/8 UW GPA, actor with impressive professional credits, which surely helped.
DD was accepted. 1580 SAT, 3.99 UW, 1/150 class rank, 4 years varsity softball. She has a couple she is waiting to hear from on the 28th, but is very pleased with this acceptance.

- ACT 35, weighted GPA 4.13. My school doesn't rank but I'm not in the top 10%.

- Community service through theater and interact club
- Recs were probably really good! The teachers who wrote them know me really well.
- I kinda hate that we don't get financial aid info at the same time but again I am amazed to even be accepted. go cats

Congrats to everyone who got in! Cherish the fact that you got accepted into one of the greatest colleges in the nation. I’m a little crestfallen, but moping around will never help me so I’m going to focus on the schools I’m still waiting on!
Wow wow wow. I got accepted. Out of the country atm now so only saw my letter just now and I could not BELIEVE MY EYES. I’m still in shock bc it was my biggest reach school for many MANY reasons holy cow. Idk how to do this really but here are my stats I guess: sat two ACTs and got a 32 and a 34 sequentially. No SATs, around 3.7 gpa weighted. I play one varsity sport, serve as a peer tutor, and work 4 days a week after school. Not sure what else to say, just feeling very blessed. GO CATS!!!
@MFHP96 he is an engineering major. He is visiting campus in a few weeks. I really like purdue! But he has ucla to consider too and a bunch of other top engineering schools. Still waiting for a few more.
Accepted to Weinberg College,
1570 SAT (770EBRW + 800M)
3.87 UW
International Student
Denied lol
@wingjuer My son was also rejected. So far he’s been rejected by Bates, Colgate, and Northwestern. We are still praying and hoping that he’ll be accepted by others yet to come out. It’s part of life. Besides, so many factors come into play in these admissions: the ability to pay fees, the programme applying for, and several others. Tell your child to keep cool and go on with his life. Better days are ahead.
@nuvemseis
Thank you and All the very best to you.
Does anyone know when they will release this years official stats?
