Last time I looked, there was no facebook group-but that was right after I got in. I will look tonight and see what is there. I really don’t know why I heard so early–I am sure there are plenty of better candidates that have not heard yet. It’s just a much more random process from start to finish that the process for high school seniors. I think luck plays a bigger part, so hopefully everybody gets lucky somewhere!

My DS attends a Top 20 university and achieved a 4.0 but has not heard. He applied on or the day prior to the deadline. Timing often depends on the particular major the individual is seeking.
@etransfer2019 congrats! Do you mind sharing what college at Northwestern you applied into?
what schools did the people who were rejected hear from? i am applying to the college of arts and sciences as an incoming sophomore and currently have a 3.468 gpa at a large state school as an english major and math minor.
No decisions so far…safe to assume that we won’t hear back this week?
Yeah I don’t think we’ll hear back today.
why would you think we won’t? it’s only 4:00 EST and it usually doesn’t come out at that time.
^^ it is so early now and results could come as late as 6:30
It seems like waves have historically been 5-6:30pm with some midday ones sprinkled in, I think there’s a decent chance more decisions will be released tonight.
Oh, I thought people were saying that acceptances come out at 11:30 A.M.

@oceansquare so basically, last year, the second wave was release on a Wednesday around 11am EST mostly with acceptances but only a few people got notified. However, this was the only time in the past couple years that any wave had been released at that time. Usually decisions are released around 5-6:30pm EST, so that is why we might still hear back today
@oceansquare Some have received acceptances at that time, but acceptances also come out in the evening
@Ashtash May I ask you the applicants’ stat who was accepted this morning? I thought they did not release.
@TimJ00 No one was accepted this morning, that we know of. I’m just referring to previous years. This is just all the info we’ve gathered from looking at older threads

it would be historically odd if some decisions didn’t come out today. But if they don’t I’m assuming tomorrow or next Wednesday
@karlmarxismydad Agreed…they’ve released some decisions on thursdays in the past, right? I feel like I saw that somewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if things are different this year than previous years. Admissions is always random in general, so nothing really shocks me anymore, haha
