Does anyone know how long we have to wait to get our financial aid and transfer credit evaluation? The website makes it seem like it’s actually mailed, not e-mailed, is that true?
OMG I GOT ACCEPTED!!! Sooo blessed and happy, after getting rejected from all my other schools I applied to this felt really nice. NU was my top choice either way so I am not disappointed at all, soo happy
@broobro transfer credits are emailed within 3 weeks after getting accepted! and im pretty sure finaid is available if you set up your net id
Nothing for me today, anyone else? Does that mean I am just gonna get a rejection since many of you were accepted?
hey I am curious that for those who have not received decisions so far, are we waitlisted by NU?
@davidchenyf I’m not sure if NU waitlists transfers, but I think we might be on their own “waitlist”. They might wait to see who accepts or declines their offer, and based on how many available seats there are, continue to offer people admission.
I think this might be why towards the end of May, there isn’t really a pattern for when they release decisions, since at this point they just need to fill spots. I’m honestly not even sure if this is how it works, it’s just something I think is possible.
Hi! When should we expect to receive our financial aid and link to housing by if we were admitted yesterday?
Rejected…
Why today? I think yesterday they had a round…but…I just received an email saying decision is ready and asked me to check
got the decision today and rejected.
good luck to those who are still waiting.
@kcasssuu I am sorry about this, bro. I saw your long-term waiting and your love of northwestern university.
@hyzkxo Thanks for such kind words! I believe this decision is because I am not good enough for Northwestern. It’s nice to know that, so I can find some areas to improve on.
rejected!
Did y’all get your decisions today? I still haven’t heard back yet.
i’m also waiting
@northwestern30 I emailed the financial aid office today and they said that they don’t start evaluating aid until after we get in so we should hear back by the end of next week.
I also haven’t heard anything yet
Hello all, I made an account specifically for this but I thought it’d be helpful for future students and those eagerly waiting.

Essays: I spent a very very long time writing my statement
Don’t be too hard on yourselves, I know it’s though and waiting is brutal but you’ve all done your best and can’t control anything now. I didn’t think I was going to get in at all (especially bc of the insane Creative Writing program) but you never know! Good luck to you all and hope to see you in the fall!
@bukle11 thank you! And we should receive the transfer credit within a week?
I made a new account to post here! I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while
Accepted - 5/15
McCormick - CS major (intended double major with Korean)
Stats:
HS GPA: ~3.8 unweighted, ~4.44 weighted
800/770 SAT, 36 ACT, 9 APs (6 5’s, 3 4’s)
Freshman at T75 public school, 3.8 GPA
ECs: self-studied into Korean 201, cultural club eboard member, math tutor, math grader, English tutor for a Korean student, Korean speech contest, 4 years of Taekwondo
Letters of rec from profs who I was buddies with but who may not have known me /that/ well.
Essays: I just gave my transfer intention statement. I had a unique/creative hook and placed a lot of emphasis on interdisciplinary study. That essay was great, but I thought I’d be rejected because it didn’t fit the common app essay. My supp was only ok.
I was very surprised to be accepted! Hope some financial aid comes in so I can go :))
