where did you hear this?

dude i dont think they had 60,000 applicants…

Just think about it this…we have to get a decision (no matter what) in the next eight school days.

Thank you for applying to UC Santa Barbara (UCSB). My name is Marcos Villa and I am your UCSB Admissions Counselor. As your Counselor it is my role to answer your questions surrounding the application process or about UCSB in general. My email address is Marcos.Villa@sa.ucsb.edu; I look forward to hearing from you if you have questions or concerns.

We are in the process of evaluating 60,000 freshman and transfer admissions applications. You can check the status of your application online at UCSB’s Admissions website. (You will need to create your own UCSB password before you can log into the site.) Admissions decisions will be posted at the end of March on the admissions website.

For UCSB.

10 char

Does UCI send notices during the weekends?

I wish Irvine would just release the dang decisions. lol. We’ve been waiting and waiting to hear. If SD can just do it all at once, why can’t Irvine? My son is holding out hope for SB and we know that they are releasing decisions on Monday and I can’t believe that he’ll know his decision for SB before Irvine!! Even when the decision is a rejection, at least it allows you to move on to the next decision. Just sitting around and waiting is for the birds!!

Totally agree! Okay. Maybe if the waiting started only since March, it will still be okay with me. But we have waited since February. And for the past 7 weeks, we have seen everyone around us being accepted except us. It is torturing!

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy must they do this to us??? :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

They should really change their system!!

why are they doing this? has anyone called them and asked?? what was their answer?

^ I did. They said everything was random. Accept/Rejections/Major

i think they are not telling the truth but why, i dont know. did they say anything about next wave?

there’s no reason for them to lie. I’m pretty sure they’re telling the truth for this month, but because so many people got accepted last month, there’s going to be more rejections this month.

Agh! I’m so sick of waiting. I’m starting to get really nervous now. My grades are good-okay. and my scores were mediocre… but my extracurricular and my community service were really good. Essay was “eh…” though. I really really want to get into UCI… I’m just a ball of nerves and it doesn’t feel good. I don’t want a denial letter, that’s the last thing I want. But it really doesn’t feel good to not know what your going to be doing next year…

i’ve given up on/lost hope in irvine and i expect a reject. LOL.

My son just got waitlisted for UC Irvine

@Calimom21, did he get an email about his status changing today? or he randomly checked?

no email, he just happened to check it tonight.

what were his stats?

He had applied for Business Administraton
