@Anne Shurley - Where did you log on to see that VT transmitted the SRAR to the application? We still have not received any communication from VT. My D applied through the Coalition App in the second week of September.

Log into the SRAR. I just did it on my phone. The very first thing on the screen is “recent SRAR updates”. Line one on my son’s says “10/11/18 your academic record has been sent to Virginia Tech” with a green check. He submitted it on 9/25. When I looked on my full computer screen and was scrolling around a few days ago I saw “transmitted” on one of the pages. Also, I saw that VT changed the wording to say SAT scores don’t have to be sent unless you get in. So truly all they are looking at is coalition app and srar. As long as they receive these I guess we are good.
@Anne Shirley - Thank you. I just went in to the SRAR and confirmed that there are two dates where the academic was sent to Virginia Tech" and at the very bottom there is a third date that shows “transmitted” to VT on 10/18. She submitted her application about a week earlier than your son did. We have not received any emails and my D confirmed with some friends that they have not received any communication from VT either.
DS got an App status setup email this morning.
App is complete.
Now we wait.
@STEM2017 How long did you have to wait for the email? I submitted my app 4 days and have gotten no emails from VT yet.

Interesting. My son applied end of September. He emailed admissions to make sure SRAR had linked properly to his coalition app. He got an email reply (which we printed) confirming receipt of app and a linked srar. Yet, no email about a portal status logon yet.
CORRECTION. Just got the bright idea to have son look in spam. Along with 207 spam messages from colleges was the status portal instructions, dated way back on 10/3. Check spam!!!

Yes! I wish I had thought to check spam folders 2 weeks ago. Applied around 9/25 and got portal email on 10/3.

Sorry for the delay in a response. Please remember, contacting our office via email or telephone are the official methods of communication.
It appears many have seen by now, but in regards to application status inquiries:
Applicants can log into their coalition account and see if the application has been submitted. If it has, they should be assured that we have it. They can find this by clicking on the “Colleges” tab at the top of the page. They should then scroll down and they will see the date/time of submission. They can also click on “View Submission” for more detailed information.
For the SRAR, they can log into this account as well and see if they have linked the SRAR to Virginia Tech. If they have, and if it shows that the SRAR has been locked, they have done what is needed.
A Guest Account email will be going out on a daily basis. The applicant should follow the directions within it in the specified timeframe. After the Guest Account is set up, the applicant will be able to check the status of the application. This includes whether or not we have received the SRARs (it may take 4 -5 days for this to show up).

What are email ids that should be added in the contacts, so that important mails from Virginia tech do not go into spam? Have to get those emails added right away to avoid confusion. - Thank you.
Juan - son applied Early Decision Engineering. Will all acceptances/referalls be posted on 15 December or is a “Rolling” process? He is trying to lay out a “Plan B” process, as well. Thank you.
Anyone know how long it takes for the SRAR to show up on the VT portal? The Coalition App was submitted on 11/11 and the SRAR website shows a transmittal to VT on 11/12 but the portal is still not showing it as received.
We, too, are wondering how long for the SRAR to update in the VT portal. Applied via Coalition 11/5, SRAR transmitted 11/7, yet VT portal does not indicate that it was received.
Just checked the portal again and it shows the SRAR was received on 11/14.
