Notre Dame Honor Vs. Middlebury

Hey guys, so I was fortunate to be accepted to Notre Dame Honor and Middlebury.
I grew up in the NE area my whole life and I was leaning toward Notre Dame, especially after I was accepted in to the Glenn Family Program and received a great financial aid package. But I have never visited the school and I’m not sure if Notre Dame is what it is in my mind or not. The plane tickets was expensive so the chance of visiting seems very slim. On the other hand, I am going to visit Middlebury next week and I’ll get a personal experience with the campus. What should I do?

I am a mathematic and science-strong student but I have always taken a balanced course with humanities.

All things equal… Middlebury

If it is at all possible, visit. You are going to spend the next four years at this place. If its truly not possible, think about the differences between these schools. While their academics are both similarly strong, I get the impression that ND is a huge sports school and Middlebury is a small LAC. Very different vibes.

^Middlebury is also very into sports… there just aren’t as many people and the sports aren’t as well known because they’re d3

the sport culture is extraordinarily different. One of my med school classmates went to Middleburry. From what I understand they have very different cultures overall.
