Notre Dame Regular Decision Thread - Class of 2024

Accepted to engineering 1550 SAT, 200+ income bracket. To be honest, I don’t know that much specifically about Notre Dame engineering. I live in Indiana but I have only been on the general tour. I also have 2 other great options in Engineering at Purdue and free tuition Computer Science at IU. Notre Dame is a really beautiful place with great alumni but i don’t know if its worth the extra cost vs Purdue or IU considering that I likely will likely be paying near the full price tag for tuition. I want to decide soon so I can give my spot to someone on the waitlist if I decide to not go. Any advice?

Congrats to everyone!!

Anyone know where we can see our financial aid?

In Mexico, there are not many student organizations nor clubs (at least in my school). Consequently, some leadership awards simply do not exist.

Hooks:
This is what truly made the difference. I am a visually impaired student, and I struggled through middle school both academically and socially. However, in High School, I decided to make some serious changes to my perceptions and my attitude and things improved. Perseverance and resilience really did pay off.
My essays were… quite original, which really helped. (Probably)
Teachers claim I awe and inspire them, so my rec letters (I presume) were pretty good.

In other words, show the Admission Officers that you can surpass challenges and succeed in your environment and they’ll notice you. Believe me, you don’t need the 1500+ SAT. I thought I did, but… I was proven wrong.

Congrats to everyone that got in, and good luck for everyone for all university decisions.

Hello everyone! I am a Notre Dame student in the class of 2023, and last year I was waitlisted RD. I remember feeling heart broken when I opened the email–but being waitlisted was not the end of the road for me! With some hard work and a bit of schmoozing, I received a call from my admissions counselor in May 2019 with the news that I had been accepted. If any of you waitlisted students (or any of you at all) have questions about advice for getting off the waitlist or what being a Notre Dame student is like, then please reach out and ask!

Congratulations, and good luck to everyone!

My DD was accepted into the ND/HC Gateway program from REA. If you are looking for Gateway conversation visit College Confidential Notre Dame Gateway Program 2024 or last year 2023.

@camrynrbarnett Hello, thank you! This was so reassuring! Do you mind sharing how you specifically reached out to admissions?

Sorry to hear that @My5Kiddos ! Wow - your kiddo has a patent?
Thanks for sharing your story with us…we are future applicants who are lurking on this thread and realize how very difficult it is to get in. We have friends who were a) legacy and b) whose first son was accepted but second son was not accepted - even though equal in all respects (including 36 ACT) and captains of their teams.
