several seasoned parents run it, more then likely they can answer or point you in the right direction to get your answers Also have your student reach out directly to their admissions counselor. I am aware that a minor is easy to achieve not sure about a double major.

Yes. My student’s roommate is doing same now (junior) but issue is that the business classes have registration priority to Mendoza primary students first, then minor/ secondary major so since they were not direct admit to Mendoza and they’re struggling to meet the requirements for double major because the classes are full with Mendoza primary students. Does that make sense?

Question for the forum. Anyone accepted REA get any information about merit scholarships? On past year forums, it seems like invites to apply happen in late Jan / early Feb. Just curious to see if we missed the boat on those opportunities.
Yes - merit was sent with my acceptance notification.

D22 received REA decision in mid-December but the first email about merit (nominatiin as a semifinalist) didn’t come until the second week of February.
Curious if any of the REA applicants on this page did the Notre Dame Leadership Summit last summer? My son was just accepted to the NDLS Radiant for this coming summer and we are wondering how much of an advantage this gives students when applying to ND their senior year? ND is probably going to be his top choice and he will REA. Trying to decide how many other schools he should spend time submitting EA on or waiting to do RD on some of them.
My daughter was accepted REA and she did not do the summer leadership program. I have read that it helps, but it is not a guarantee. So my suggestion would be to work on a good amount of EA applications. If he doesn’t get into ND REA, waiting for decisions until March would be really difficult. And many similar caliber schools have very low admit rates and even lower for the RD round when they have an EA round.

Yes, he will still do EA apps, but I’m thinking maybe of him doing 5-6 instead of 10-12 and then if he gets ND in the REA round, he would only do RD to a few more options.
Congratulations again! So if your son’s top choice is ND. There is only a significant bump in REA. The results are in for RD for NDLS 25 pretty much everyone from NDLS that applied in RD was wait listed. Most chose to ED elsewhere or do SCEA elsewhere and lost the bump. They were sent a letter that made it pretty clear that they would have a better chance of admission in REA, some chose to think they would also have on in RD there seems to be zero advantage to RD admissions. My D26’s list was much smaller due to being accepted REA she only applied to 8 Schools and only 2 RD. Your son will have an amazing experience good luck with class of 2031 admissions.

Just want to jump on here to say this insight was spot on in our case. D26 applied REA, was deferred, then accepted RD. And your response gave us hope from December to March!
