Notre Dame Restrictive Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

This is the official thread for those applying REA to University of Notre Dame

List your unweighted GPA, any SAT /ACT scores, and ECs. What majors are you going into?
Ask your questions, the CC community is here to help!

Hello, new here & looking for some advise. Daughter has 4.0 unweighted GPA, top 10% of her class. Her HS doesn’t offer AP’s but she is in all honors track. She is an All State musician with extensive music, religious/community EC’s, brother graduated '23. She has met & lessoned with music professor at ND multiple times and it seems they are interested in having her in their music department. Here’s the dilemma: her practice ACT scores are 33/34, but when she takes the actual test (the one that counts) it drops to 29 (Math/Science being the issue). Does she submit her scores or not? And REA or RD? Thank you!!!

I would say no.

For ND, I would submit if you are at their 50th percentile (I THINK it is 33 at ND).

If you are in an underrepresented group (e.g., African American), I might go down to ND’s 25th percentile or maybe 1 point below. That would be a 32 or 31.

Best thing to do is just get the score up if possible.

That is just me. YMMV.

What is ND’s policy for submitting SAT/ACT scores? My daughter has a 1430 superscore but is top 2% of class of 490 students, and doing IB Diploma. Should we submit? Is this too low (Bachelor of Arts CS)? Also how does the reporting work? Do you report highest of sections on their portal after submitting Common App or do they want you to send from College Board? She retook last Saturday but we won’t get the scores for another week. When do they need to receive College Board documents? Thanks!!

31 or higher I would submit. That’s just my opinion. I’m sure they have accepted scores below that as well. You just never know.

When does REA decision come out?

I think 3 potential days 13th (Friday) 15 on Sunday or 20th, they said mid December

Someone on Reddit said that there is an admitted students site for the Class of 2029 where you can sign up for admitted student tours and events. They say this is a way to know if you’ve been accepted. Any idea if this is true?

idk if this is true but when you click https://admissions.nd.edu/admitted-students/ and i tried to go to the rally page when logged in to the portal it said access denied. So maybe?

Where did u see that post, I was searching Reddit notre dame early action, I have not see post like that, anyone actually was able to log in?

The major is not super competitive so I think u have a great shot, Sat seem bit low but within range, good luck

My kid tried to log in to the rally day and it said contact undergraduate admissions, not “denied”. Sounds like it is (rightfully) not set up yet.
