Notre Dame Transfer Fall 2010

I was admitted as a transfer student and I also have to take a math class this summer according to their letter. Does anyone know what we need to do to make sure the summer class we will take is transferable before we sign up? I have to register soon and I haven’t gotten a response yet from my email to ND about this.

The counselor I talked to said to email her a list of the classes available at a local school, and she would tell me which one to take. There was only one, so it was easy haha. After that she said to go ahead and register and take the class, and just send the transcript to ND when it was finished. Also, the counselor had called me to talk about this before I received anything saying I was admitted. So, I don’t know why they haven’t talked to you about it already.

I emailed the other day and left a voicemail today but all the counselors are on a retreat per the secretary. I’m just curious as to why I haven’t gotten any response yet because I also emailed in early April the class descriptions. The class starts in less than 2 weeks so I don’t want the spots to fill up before I can make sure it transfers.

Does ANYONE live on the West Coast and received a letter yet? I still haven’t gotten anything, and I’m wondering if the distance makes a difference…

CJ: Also from west coast and have not heard a thing yet. On quarter system so they may be waiting for final grades. Hopefully!

Knicks: I’m glad there’s someone else on the West Coast who responded to this thread. Still didn’t come today…so that leaves the start of next week!!! Post it here if you get a letter! I’ll do the same
What’s your major?

Psychology and you?

Very cool. Mine’s Theology…I’m going to try and do a joint major in Philosophy as well. Where on the west coast are you from? I’m in Southern California…I’m slightly worried about making the transition to a place that’s so much colder, haha.

send me your email

My son received his “big envelope” on Saturday, May 29th. It came in the regular mail. It was an exciting and rewarding moment. Very emotional. The letter is dated May 26th. We live in the Chicago area.
I want to send out a big thank you to IRISH68178. You helped us more than you will ever know this past year. Your experience and you insight are extremely valuable to those who don’t want to quit on their dream. It was very helpful and I hope next year’s transfer class will take the time to review. I hope that you are able to keep your web site going.
Best of luck to all of you who are waiting.

Congrats Brutus! I am hoping that because of the Memorial Day weekend, that the mail has “piled” up over the weekend somehow, and my letter will be in the mail today! I am so incredibly impatient!

Congrats to your son, Brutus!!! Sent you a PM.

I still haven’t heard from them and I live in Chicago so I’m starting to think they only sent out a few letters and are just doing them in groups?

I think it is hard to figure it all out. It is hard to say that there is any pattern here. I wish you all good luck.

It is confusing how they’re doing it. I need to take a summer class, but instead of getting a phone call, I received my envelope. Other people got phone calls and are waiting on their envelopes, so I don’t know how the Admissions people decide to notify peole.

NDbound: Yeah, it’s very confusing…and I don’t know about the rest of the people who got phone calls about their summer classes…but I just want to make it clear that the main reason they called me was to tell me NOT to take a certain class I had said I was signed up for. I guess I didn’t need it. So, I think they were calling to tell me that I didn’t have to do the extra class. I still have to take a stats class over the summer, but the phone call was more for the benefit of making sure I didn’t kill myself for nothing this summer ;).

Have only the people with summer courses been notified?

Another let down today…nothing in the mail. The waiting in unbearable.

At least you know you got in though!! No phone call or letter here :(

What part of the country are you from myoneandonly?
