Certainly would like to find out asap, but part of me thinks that if they were going to take him, they would’ve already called for just that reason - to tell him to take the summer class. Have a feeling it’ll be bad news and am nervous to hear!!

Nah, I wouldn’t worry about that. My friend needed the summer class, and they didn’t call him. Like I said, they only called me to make sure I didn’t take a certain class I had told them I was signed up for. Good luck!!!

Did anyone else not receive a medical and physical exam history report??? Mine was nowhere to be found in the packet!

I’m having fun reading this thread…I’m a current student and because of crazy room picks this year I’ll be living with two transfer students next year in addition to another friend in a quad. I’m so anxious to find out who they are!

theonlyexception- What dorm are you in? How did it work out that you got a quad without knowing the other 2 roommates?

I live in Lyons. During room picks it was crazy…I wanted a double but my friend and I had low room pick numbers so they ran out of doubles by the time it came to our turn to pick so our choice was between a single and a quad and neither of us wanted singles so we asked for a quad…for some reason no one wanted quads in lyons this year…

Still waiting here in Boston – have decided against calling – for now, anyway! Has anyone else received word?

Can someone here who was accepted to ND via transfer, give me an idea of what they look for? What were your GPAs, SATs, and freshman GPA? And would someone mind chancing me for ND transfer? I haven’t begun freshman year yet.

My GPA is eh: ~3.5

SAT 770 math 610 CR

SAT 2 Math 770

Also, I never applied through regular decision…

(Considering I have a very strong freshman GPA)…

Is it totally unrealistic to think that ND will still be offering admission to any more transfers? Fairly certain son would have to take a Math course over the summer and had hoped to hear from them (via phone or letter) by now if they were going to accept him so that he could register for a course in time.

Anyone know of anyone who was ever accepted in mid-June or thereafter?

Thanks.

Well, my friend who had called is still waiting for his official letter…and if he hadn’t called, he would be in your position, not knowing. I will let you know ASAP when I find out when his letter comes.

Has anyone who did not have to take a course this summer been notified? It seems like everyone who has heard had to take a course

i got in and did not have to take a summer course. most of the engineering spots have been filled, but the admissions lady at the engineering school said there were 10 more applicants she was still looking at because she was waiting on spring semester grades.

My friend got his package on Saturday…

Thanks for letting us know.

Son called Admissions yesterday and left a voicemail re: decision. Got an e-mail awhile ago from Admissions saying that “Yes, your decision letter was mailed yesterday and you should receive it in the next day or two.”

Am I reading too much into it that it was a decision “letter” and not a decision “package”??

I wish they would’ve told him in the e-mail!! Oh well, it looks like he’ll know by the week’s end, anyway.

Anyone’s thoughts as to the wording??

I think you are looking into the wording too much. Around me at least, it is known as an “acceptance letter” not an acceptance package so, Good luck to everyone though!

I guess I’m being too paranoid! Anyway, will post once my son receives his decision – hopefully by Thursday if it was mailed out yesterday (Monday). In the meantime, good luck to all who are also still awaiting word!

Just thinking out loud here – am wondering how long a timeframe those of you who have been accepted had to send in your deposits? Reason I’m asking is because I’m wondering if ND goes to some sort of a transfer waitlist list after they initially accept those more desireable in the first round?

Well, exciting news to report!!! SON GOT INTO ND!!!

Well, exciting news to report!!! SON GOT INTO ND!!! He called this morning and woman said, “Congratulations, you’ve been accepted to ND. Your package should be arriving in next day or two.”

Unbelievable.

Too excited to write more now. A HUGE shoutout to Irish68178 for all his help and advice will be coming after we’ve all calmed down!!!
