November 2010 SAT - Math

I got D for the 2a+1.

FOR THOSE WHO HAD 7^1600

I started a new thread. Let’s discuss there.

I also have
1-1
2-2,3
3-4,5,6
4-7,8,9,10

question asking that if h is the first number in the 100th row, how to represent the first number in 101th row

^ No I remember getting D, an answer in the 100’s

the card one was def 37
the f(0) one was 2

the surface area was 26, I had 24 though lol

x=T

triangle area = 60

the box one #16 was A the first box

1008 was an answer

the one to the calculus one was 10

the .08 was just II

what was the radius one? I had 1.1?

the 2nd to last question on the 20-minute section with the cubes and surface area query…do you guys remember what you put? all I could rule out was 42 because I ran out of time, then I just circled C.

Yeah 1.1 would work as the radius.

:( i put 100
geometry is not my forte.

the 7^1600 was 1, right? i thought that question was fairly easy but i see all these CCers freaking out about it so my confidence is making me kinda nervous…

oh well, i’m planning on retaking it in march anyway so if i don’t do well this time…time to step it up!

the math will be 790-780 -1 , I expect 780 for -1

was the SA 26 on answer choice C? lol that would be such a steal…with my luck I bet it’s D, though

yes 120!

Another one, what’s that water hose thing? t and t/2. 12hrs to fill the tank
I put 36.

holy **** only -1 in math

im looking at

790 CR
780 Math
writing has hella hard i just hope 700+

That would be D :(

median was 8<x<20

1008 was the least greater than 999 divisible question.

Also there was two dice problem asking how many sides of all the sides are not shown.
I put 1/6

the box question was not a… it was either c or d i forgot… answer choice a… the two adjacent sides were across each other.

Are you sure for the x = median one? Was it like 1 was the only mode, and you had to find a number that worked as the median?

In that case, I’m sitting at a -3 with wrong responses still pending! splendid. how many do you all think you can miss and get above a 630? I’m taking this SAT for the entire purpose of scoring a 1250 CR + M (have a 1230 after one attempt) cause I need this score for guaranteed med school admission (of course, only to EVMS). gotta love the perks of going to a med prep academy!

ONLY FOR ONE OF THE TESTS!

Math
Grid-In
4<x<8 (median of set of integers, mode was 1)
1<x<1.5 (circle and two squares)
1008 (Lowest number greater than 999 but divisible by 6,8, and 9)
$2.50 (price of child’s ticket)

Multiple Choice
109 (exactly 4 numbers in sequence are under 1000)
95 ft (merry-go-round; wooden horse, 3/2 circumference)
x=t (John and Tom’s marbles)
30 minutes (when the person drove first 20 miles)
y=45 (lines m and l are perpendicular)
11 (f(3)+f(1))
75 (original average 15, new average 19)
45% (percent of students who had 2 or more siblings)
26 (surface area of cube tower)
regions 1 and 2 (a+b>0)
37 cards (10 red, 10 blue, 10 green, and 10 white cards; make sure to have at least 7 green cards)
j and l have perpendicular slopes (-5/3 and 3/5)
60 (area of quadrilateral/diamond thing)
f(x)-3
2 (4 times 1/n)
x=0 (x+2y=2x+3y; when y=0, what is x?)
dice dots on sides, shaded on top
240 (x+y+z)
m/h (average speed, miles per hour)
qr+s=s+rq
8 less diagonals (10-sided and 9-sided)
scatterplot questions was E (last choice, no linear relationship)
abs value only II (4.75)
x^2+6x+6 (product of two even integers greater than x)
x+y=5 ((2.410^x)+(3.610^y) = 3630)
45 (how many numbers in set S; 1+2+3+…+9=45)
x=24 (30-60-90 triangle, short 30 degree side was 12)

what the heck shahdin I distinctly remember putting 5 for the median question on the grid-in. there were two different ones on the test, though.

Was the product of the two greater even integers x^2+6x+8?

(x+2)(x+4) = x^2 + 6x + 8

handicaple … what was the answer choice for the box question. the one u said dots on the side, shaded on top.
