<p>I am paranoid with identity theft. I’m thinking about using my official SAT/AP collegeboard account for these NPC calculators however, with the fast amount of personal information that I placed on my account, I wonder if it would be safer to use a dummy Collegeboard account. Any thoughts?</p>
<p>They are secure (as secure as any) account sites. At the end of the day…you WILL be putting your information into the FAFSA absurd Profile (if required) sites. You will not be able to use a dummy account.</p>
<p>These NPCs are used by tens of thousands of families every year. I’m not guaranteeing no issues…heck, I’ve gotten warnings about theft from my state and my bank. But the NPC and college board sites are as secure as they can be.</p>
