but mostly i’m checking for CBYX because people have already gotten notifications for CBYX YFU and because midwest NSLI-Y won’t be out for a bit @fromUSA2Russia </p>
<p>Do they do notifications on a rolling basis or based on regions or both?</p>

<p>I think the general consensus was that they wouldn’t start on the first, we think the 2nd or third. But then again, NSLI-Y is tricky</p>

<p>I have no idea. Word is that they usually have less than 70 applicants for 50 spots, so maybe everyone is going to semi? I hope!</p>
<p>Hey guys! It is stressful just reading about everyone’s stress and then trying to handle my own! Just do not worry and have control! If this is your last chance to apply because you are a senior, DO NOT WORRY because there is a college level NSLI-Y called CLS. It is essentially the same thing except for college students! So no matter what, it is not the end for you! And if you can apply again! Do so!
So that being said, it is not the end of the world! </p>
<p>Did any of you receive semi-finalist notifications? If so, what did you apply for and what region/state do you live in? </p>
<p>I believe the notifications will be spread over two weeks so do not stress!

<p>How late in the day is “too” late for notifications. They posted on Twitter the office closes at 12am??? </p>

Don’t stress! Based on your region, you will probably get it sometime this week.
I would limit yourself to checking because it just causes stress! I believe they send it out in waves but I assume they won’t send it too late. I’m not really sure what time but the latest I seen was 5:30pm.</p>
<p>And I just checked twitter. Someone posted that they checked their email at 12am because it became Dec. 1st. They did not find an email and they asked NSLIY where is their email. NSLIY responded: “consider that our office is closed at 12AM”. Meaning that the emails won’t come out at 12AM because no one is working at that time. It does NOT mean they leave at 12am. It means that they aren’t working at that time. I assume that they probably leave late afternoon around 5-6pm. Maybe a little bit later but I doubt that they leave really late.
I hope that explains the whole situation!
