Hey everyone! I’m a 2014 Korea Summer alumnus, might’ve seen me on the Korean applicants FB group. I haven’t really read through this whole thread (only the last two pages), but I just wanted to say last year Korea summer notifications came out on March 31st and we were the last summer program to hear back! Things change each year with dates and you never know how NSLI-Y does things, so just try to relax and keep yourself occupied while you wait!! 
In years past, Korea has been one of, if not, the last summer program to get notified because visas aren’t necessary. If anyone has any questions about Korea summer or NSLI-Y in general, feel free to just reply to this! I also have a blog and YT channel if anyone is interested. I still have a LOT to update on them, but there is a good amount on there. If you want those links just ask! I love to answer questions so seriously feel free to ask me about anything ^^
@yanyan13 Hi!! I applied for Korean summer this year and I was just wondering if there are any specific websites or books you used to learn Korean and what your Korean speaking/reading ability was when you arrived in Korea compared to when the summer was over?

Really hoping they start today REMINDER if you receive an email, most likely an emotional tidal wave will follow and you will tell everyone you know~~ make sure you let us know too

I know Arabic Year won’t be out until forever, but we’re also expecting YES semi finalist notifications either today or tomorrow and I’m just like bouncing off the walls and having an existential crisis(partially because I discovered at the age of 14 that I have a lisp) (also i’m nervous).

Hello everyone! I just found out that I have been accepted as a finalist to Russia summer! I’m going to Narva, Estonia, and I applied from Austin, Texas.

I was one of the first people to get my semifinalist notification as well. I don’t know why, but I suppose they do my region early.
