UVA website says that it require one counselor’s rec and one teacher’s rec.
Can she submit only 1 recommendation from History teacher when she will be bio major?</p>
<p>In that way, we can apply to one more school.
She can ask additional supplement recommendation from her work supervisor.</p>
<p>Recommendations do not have to come from teachers in the subject a student might study. </p>
<p>Students may submit supplemental recommendations. However, there is no need for repetition. If a student sends an extra recommendation, it should provide information we haven’t gotten already from the other recommendations or the rest of the application.</p>
<p>Just because UVa only requires two recommendations doesn’t mean your daughter can’t collect more for other schools.</p>
