Daughter is ACCEPTED. This has been so NERVE WRACKING. Toilets have been in CONSTANT USE ALL DAY due to nervous energy NEEDING AN OUT before the acceptance emails. I am so happy for our daughter – she wanted this SO BAD!!! Best wishes to those that didn’t get in – I feel the pain.

got in CAS with a 3.3, 1520, SAT BIO: 760, SAT CHEM: 790. Have tons of awards for biochem including ISEF finalist standing. All EC were at the graduate and undergraduate leve Have taken 8 AP’s by the time of application, and am taking 7 this year. 4’S and 5’s on all AP Exams. Essays were read by a former admissions officer and said to be great. also deferred by Penn ED.

My sat was pretty average 1420. But I did do job shadowing and a dental program called Saturday Academy at NYUCD. My gpa was a 102 throughout high school and I took 6 aps. I’m kinda sad about not making it in the program but I heard they accept less than 10 ppl
anybody who hasn’t heard yet ?
My albert financial aid page says.“You are not active in a program at NYU in 2021-2022. Because of that, you may not access this page. Please contact your advisor for further assistance.” Does this mean i didn’t get aid or what?

congrats everyone! the housing indicator seems basically accurate - but it does not guarantee a primary choice acceptance to ur chosen school in nyu, as some got in liberal studies or nyush (not meant to say these are bad and ppl may choose lsp and nyush as top choice) To my own surprise, my waitlist (dc) does not destroy me as I am happy to find out about my other decisions in the rd round even they can be BRUTAL. On the other hand, things going on and good things happen! 30 minutes after my nyu decision, I found out I was direct admitted to my top choice at Indiana U! Do not let these decisions destroy you and we will do amazing things in life. If you really love nyu, consider sophomore transfer, this is a great option and many were accepted. If not transfer, then we can still have a shot at graduate school admissions! I am thinking about leaving the waitlist since I rethink my relationship with nyu - I like it but not really love it since I would be sad if i got in nyu that I cannot hear back from my top choices like umich and uiuc at the rd round. So yeah good luck for waitlist and deferral.
