@quadjo: Who said? :’(

how do you know???

Hi guys.I’ve been lurking around for a while and decided to write my opinion. What is strange for me is that I’ve got my exemption form on November 15th.I have sent it on November 21st .Later on the day I got the message that this form was added to my file.Couple of days
ago I was asked for some my information again. What would be the sense of all these things if all invitations were sent?

Comepletely agree with you. The same with me. It makes no sence. No sence at all.
By the way, not everybody who didn’t send SAT scores received this form.

I submited my SAT and TOEFL scores but I still got that email. When I told them I submited the Tets they told me that it doesnt apply to me cause I’ve done everything. So I thought that the lady just sent the email to all russian applicants no mater whether they submited the Standartized Test scores… but now im confused.

@IndubitableMe how do you know that not everybody received that email? somebody told you? All this situation is so comlicated… I dont know anybody from Russia who received an invitation!

As far as I know, there were 10 Russian-Ukrainian flex-alumni who were accepted last year.
Pretty significant difference, don’t you think so?

I know only one guy who has received an invitation.
No more Russians? I wonder why…

@IndubitableMe which city is he from?

do you think they will send out the refusal e-mails in mid December after the CW?

Hello! I am the one from Russia who received an invitation on November 16. I read the messages you guys post here all the time (since September), but never registered and posted anything (I was kinda anxious that NYUAD checks CC comments). So, do you know anyone else from Eurasia who got their invitations???

@TuttiFruttii What was your SAT score??? And TOEFL score???

Russiarules, hey. Congradulations! When did you get invitation? Have u taken SAT?

Thank you! I got mine on November 16, as most candidates. Yes, I did submit my SATs

@Russiarules congratulations!!! do you know anybody else who received the invitation? btw, what was your SAT and TOEFL scores?

Nope, I dunno. I’ve heard there is another guy from Russia, but I don’t know his name and what oblast he is from. My SAT was 640-730-610. Didn’t take TOEFL. What were your scores?

@AsemZH @ayashry Thanks for the advice guys :)

@IndubitableMe I didn’t send SAT scores and I didn’t recieve that form, so you’re right not everybody did!

I think they sent this form to only those students, who didn’t submit any standardized tests at all (neither SAT, nor ACT, nor 3 SAT II, nor 3 AP, nor 3 IB, nor country-specific), but not to those who didn’t take SAT I specifically.

Just called the coordinator in Moscow. She said that it’s still worth waitin till the end of november. No exact details. Does anyone have the proof that it’s all over?

Guys, has someone applied for NYU Shanghai also? Have u heard something from them? Is there a chance to get in, if I wasn’t invited to NYUAD candidate weekend?

Is there full finaid available for international students applying for NYU Shanghai? I’ve heard they mostly invest in Chinese students only.
