NYU Abu Dhabi

i’m starting to feel paranoid again… if RD applicants are starting to get invitations, does that mean they’re (the admission office) done reviewing the ED2 apps? is there still a chance for ED2 candidates to receive invitations?

Hey
So I was wondering, the video on NYU AD says that its a “global network of universities” and that you can go study in a bunch of places around the world. Does anyone know where I can find a list of those places?

dude u’ll find all what u want to know about NYUAD here http://nyuad.nyu.edu/pdfs/bulletin.2010-11.pdf</a> ( just make sure u have Adobe Reader coz it’s a PDF document )

@collegechaos1 – I’ll save your time with this, by a “global network university”, NYU is just highlighting its cohesiveness of providing a cosmopolitan presence, they have 2 portal campuses now (NY and AD) and an array of study abroad locations (Madrid, London and Florence are to name a few) and they want to focus on the flexibility of studying abroad as well (NYU is opening up a third campus in Shanghai, China as well)
@cst11 – I have no idea but I myself am starting to get worried a little bit, let’s hope we hear something Inshallah this week. :)

murtaza101: thank you so much!!! are you studying in NYUAD right now?

Just came back from Feb 3-6 CW! SO. AMAZING. And I actually got to meet some CC-ers in person :slight_smile: All of you have every reason to be excited for this.

AND for those attending the next February CW, you guys have a HUGE surprise coming in your way! but I won’t reveal what it is…It’s much more surprising to find it out for yourselves.

@VodkaRain,
I’m going to the next CW. How huge is HUGE?
Can’t wait to find out about the surprise!!!
Thank you for the info.

I’m making a random guess but does that surprise has anything to do with a politician? :P

@jenngyuen – no I’m not, I’m an ED-II applicant, hoping to study in NYUAD. :)

murtaza101, tssshhh!!! )))

collegechaos1, (sorry for answering so late) really?! where are you from? i live in Kokshetau, about 400 km from Astana.

CW was AMAZING!!!

Anybody will attend CW from Feb 24 to feb 27? :smiley: I will ask my buddy who went to the first feb cw about your ‘secret’ lol

@goldnano I will!
And I’m so excited for the surprise now hahaha :D

@ asha 18117 – when have u received your invitation ? and did u receive the courier package or not yet ? :)

@goldnano I will too =) But I plan to keep the surprise a surprise =D

I’m feeling really odd that I haven’t received anything at the moment. Even patience has a limit, I’m trying really hard to stay optimistic, but really, I can feel some pain, patience is like climbing Mount Everest. I’m not going crazy, but that’s how I feel for still not getting anything about a CW.
I just have one question, how much longer will I have to wait?

Murtaza101, I completely understand you. We’ve been waiting for almost a month now… I just hope they would say something, anything, that could ease our agony. Waiting is terrible, especially when you don’t know when it’s gonna end.

Should I bring my laptop computer with me? If we’re going to be doing some sample class work, etc. it might be nice, not to mention passing flight time, etc. The portal also mentioned e-mailing home, so are they suggesting that we bring a computer? I suppose it would be classified as a valuable item I wouldn’t like to lose, though.

What have other CWers done?

You wouldn’t need a laptop to email home - they have several computers (from memory, two laptops and 4 PCs) for you to use to email home. you don’t need it for the lecture either.

Though, some people at my CW DID bring a laptop to email from their hotel rooms (also, 6 computers between 60 people isn’t that nice anyway)

@murtaza101: I completely understand what you’re going through right now. The anticipation is killing me! I really hope you, and everyone else here, get invited for the CW! I know I applied RD and that means I’m probably gonna be invited for the March CW, but I can’t take the waiting anymore!

@colllegechaos1: Thanks for sharing!

So to anyone who has already attended the CW, I was wondering do we get to pick the lecture we want to attend or is it randomly assigned? Also, what was everyone’s favorite lecture?
