<p>@ahtesham If you feel that it is significant (i.e requiring effort, impacted you etc.), then by all means put it down! :D</p>
<p>Although, I wouldn’t put something down that was just a title I guess. I don’t know. I’d rather use the space to put something down that was significant to me. If you’re questioning it, then it might not be.</p>
<p>For example, I am listing an EC that really might not be considered one (Activist community thing on the Internet), but it impacted me significantly and was enjoyable.</p>
<p>I feel that this answer was unnecessarily lengthy. :)</p>
<p>@hanginonstars thanks for your response. I appreciate your thoughts but it meant me very much. I requested my school’s principal to build swimming pool in school which was of great value to junior swimmers. Well i didnt include that in my list ;-(</p>
<p>If it means a lot to you, then you should definitely list it! I went to an admissions workshop on campus there last month. They said you should list anything that was significant to you and that brings out your passions, interests, and strengths. It honestly could be anything from hobbies to volunteering in a foreign country. It doesn’t have to be a formal club or organization.

<p>NYU Abu Dhabi doesn’t require the Personal Essay on the Common App.</p>
<p>@ahtesham Wow, 650? How many pages is it on? From what I’ve heard, colleges do not count words. But when reading, they can tell when an essay has gone over. I’m guessing 10-50 words over wouldn’t be too noticeable as long as it’s not dragging. But a whole 150 words will be noticed, I’m sure. Let’s just hope those extra 150 words are beneficial to the meaning of your essay! Good luck. </p>
