Alright everyone we can calm down. The local NYU Admissions rep for my area replied to my email regarding FA Changes which I supplied a link to the forum. She said its all speculation and coincidence. It may seem like a sign, but she said it means nothing and no one should be worried. Everyone’s will update with time and she also said not to get worked up, we’ll know soon anyways

I just want to add a few things that might show it can still come out the 12th (sorry this is long). Last year, Shawn Abbott posted on the admissions blog on 12/5 (so likely tomorrow for us) that decisions would come out on the 15th, even though Albert said the 13th. The next day, he updated the date to the 13th to match Albert. I’m not entirely sure, though, if Albert itself changed through all of this like it just did. The change to Albert also mentions that Spring transfers should expect decisions beginning early December while it said mid November before. Based on the Spring transfers post here, it looks like decisions for transfers did start just before the Thanksgiving holiday, just like Albert said before. If you also notice, they updated EDII and RD as well to match the dates listed on its main website. The past three years at least, decisions came out about 2-3 days before that date, like Albert said before. It might be that NYU updated Albert to match the rest of its website for some reason even though it could still come out the 12th.
Tl;dr: Decisions are still likely to come out on the 12th (though I’m not 100%), but we should definitely know when by the end of the week.

Edit: Just want to add that looking at the past 3 years, no one else mentioned a date change in Albert.

Anyone want to call admissions and ask about the date change just to be sure?

@smnparish i emailed admissions to verify the date change

Although a possible explanation might be that they were aiming for the 12th, but something is now causing them to push the date back to the 15th.

@newyorkeratheart Awesome, hopefully they respond soon…I want to be able to sleep tonight lol

ugh like if you’re gonna change the date then at least notify the anxious applicants asap

Heres the exact reply in case anyone wanted it:

Hi Henri,

That is not accurate (in regards to your question about the FA Change and it indicating acceptance or rejection). Please refer here for more information. EDI Decisions will b released on December 15th, and as you will read, our Dean of Admissions is very clear that they will only be released via email.

I can certainly appreciate that you are eager to hear from us! That said, College Confidential typically heightens student anxiety unnecessarily.

I hope this helps put your mind at ease. If I can help you with anything else, don’t hesitate to be in touch with me directly.

Best,

@NYUFan101 could you post a pic of the FA change? Mine is still “self service access not available 2016”

@jarjarbinks23 Yes, I just got that. I was wondering if any people who didn’t have any change whatsoever just got the change now. Also, I’m confused on this Satisfactory Progress change.

Where did you get that?

Still have received no update on the FA what so ever

Know what’s not satisfactory? THE FACT THAT THEY PUSHED IT BACK AGH this is killing me
