NYU Class of 2019 Discussions ED1

Ok, so it’s my first time posting… I have 2016 no self-service available… is that different from no award access?

@nyufan101 how do you get to the SAP page?

I believe nyufan101 is getting the SAP message on the same financial aid summary page.

does anyone have “2016 no self-service available”?

Still stuck at no year and “Award access not available”

@idkman‌ I do. Hopefully that’s a good thing. I know it probably doesn’t mean anything at this point, but I like to think the “2016” is a sign of acceptance, because why would we have anything even listed for 2016 (the next academic school year) if we weren’t accepted? Still, take everything with a grain of salt because these are all just conspiracy theories at this point.

@idkman is your message “2016 no self-service…” or is it divided into three columns?

does anyone know if someone ever got into NYU without having the FA change? Also, where are people finding out the decisions day is december 15? can someone send me a link please

@123jove yea… not sure if the self-service is supposed to mean anything different from no award access available… :/

There were two people who were accepted last year. One person got rejected after getting the change!

so are we definitely not finding out on december 12 then?

so is the change not a guarantee that you are in? and do you think the change will still happen before december 15?

it says 2016 (one column) New york university (2nd column) and no self service available (3rd column) @Smnparish‌

@idkman okay, good. I thought you had a whole new kind of FA change for a moment lol

@kkc2015 do you know if that one person who got rejected was international or domestic?

@Smnparish‌ hahaah lol that would cause another chaotic discussion lol… i just hope no self-service is not different from no awards available… I didn’t originally believe it, but the correlation is too strong, and now my hopes are already too high :/

@idkman idk man, lol. I think all of these FA theories are just wishful thinking at this point. Everyone’ll probably get the change by the time of the decision.

@NYUgirl10‌ if you log onto Albert, on the home page, it should read “Undergraduate Applicants” in violet letters. Below that, there are several subheadings, written in smaller, dark pink font. The second subheading should be entitled “Admission Decision Release”. In the paragraph below this subheading, there is a sentence that says the deadline is the 15th. Wish I could just post a screenshot, but I don’t know how lol.

does anyone know if people got the FA change 2-3 days before decisions came out?

@123jove thanks so much!! :slight_smile:

@NYUgirl10 No problem! Glad I could help. I was totally lost at finding it myself.
