NYU Class of 2019 Discussions ED1

Hi guys, I just received an interview invitation from NYUSH!!! It’s written that all candidates will be interviewed, is that for real??? well Im an international student anyway. Indonesia. nice to meet u all :)

anyway im a little bit confused. Did u all guys receive any receipt after submitting your commonapp? I dont really get what the receipt is … I also dont get it.

@carlogabrl‌ You should have gotten an email confirming that your Common App was sent within a week of submitting. The email will also contain your NET ID and all information necessary to log-in to Albert and check your application status, FA status, etc.

@popsoda95 thanks for letting me know about that…i was kind of starting to panic cause i wasn’t too sure when i’d hear from NYUAD. Good luck with your NYUSH interview though :)

@collegehelp08‌ you’re welcome! Thank you very much, good luck to you as well!! and fingers crossed for AD!!!

@carlogabrl‌ all competitive international students are interviewed via skype while competitive chinese students get invited to the Candidates Weekend for NYUSH according to the website, so not everyone is interviewed

Ahhhhh 1 month guys!

Hi I’m Jason. I took my SAT II’s on November 8th and the scores don’t come out until 25th. I applied to NYU Stern for Early Decision, so will they not consider my November SAT 2 scores even using rush report as soon as my scores come out? I really want to send them my scores tho…

I applied NYU ED to CAS for Anthropology/Linguistics and said it was okay if they put me in the LSP. I am super nervous because I don’t have strong stats but I /really/ want to go NYU.

@JasonJL I think that they will make a decision before your scores even get sent in. I wouldn’t count on them being a deciding factor. If you want to send them in, see if you can move your app to ED2, or just leave it where it is.

Yeah, @girlintheworld‌, I applied to CAS and did not put any secondary program of interest. Anyone know if that means I won’t be LSP’d? I’ll either be accepted or rejected?

does anyone here have ideas of what the interviewer will ask later on the interview???

Hey everyone, if we are to be hopefully admitted to NYU, is there a possibility that we have a certain amount of days to pay our enrollment deposits?

@DoctorRush‌ I might be wrong, but I think you have 25 days to submit your deposit.

@DoctorRush @rfree18 I remember reading that somewhere, too. Although now I can’t find the website where I saw it lol

I don’t have enough patient for ED2… I think what I should do is just leave it. Anyway, thank you so much for the help! @NYUFan101

Np. and yes, we have 25 days

just curious - anyone think I even have a chance to get in with a 1770 SAT and 3.68 GPA…I put that I would be willing to be put in the Liberal Program, if that helps. Anyone? You can be honest, as I doubt I have a chance haha.

Is anyone here a prospective student athlete??

@fazeeeeeeel‌ Haha, I am applying with basically those same stats and I said that I would be willing to go to LSP. I am not very hopeful of getting in either but I really really really want to go there. What is your primary choice of school?
