Is there a groupme chat for the class of 2020?
@KinzaQam I dont think you get to apply to multiple schools at once. You may rank interest and if you are turned down from first choice, may be considered for second. Pretty sure you would not get accepted to multiple NYU schools. I could be wrong but that was our understanding.
@sandsand6 Not sure what a groupme chat is but there should be a FB page for accepted NYUADs.

@dowzerw Absolutely agreed with your comment! My kid also got accepted yesterday and proved that the housing portal clue is absolutely nonsense! I presume there were many discussions about this topic and instead of being helpful, it is actually misleading and certainly a waste of time. I just hope that future applicants are aware about the truth.
hey guys i got accepted to the the Core Program in Liberal Studies, but it says my “offer of admission is extended with the expectation that you will spend your freshman year in London.”
Is there leeway that I can opt not to spend my year in London, but spend it on NYC campus instead?

@alphalete1109 no. If it talks about spending your first year in london you are probably in the Global Liberal Studies program (GLS) and you have to spend your first year abroad at NYU’s London campus.

@alphalete1109 I got the same thing but for Paris. You cannot switch. It’s NYU’s way of pushing up numbers… they over enrol and put some students overseas for the first 1-2 years.
I’m in the same situation. For Berkeley, the total cost is around 58k per year living on campus, not 51k. Stern gave me a 17k scholarship, which makes it around 56k per year. Have no idea how to choose
NYU gave me a full ride to CAS. I could not be happier, and hope to see you all in the fall
S is accepted to Tisch! Paid enrollment and housing deposit but cannot find how to apply for housing. Is there a separate website? Thanks for any insight on what to do next!

Hey @seeniebeenie I also got accepted into the LS core program and I have to go to Florence for my freshman year, I would like to later transfer into Econ at CAS, what is your experience with the program so far?

FWIW, I guess I was “accepted” (sorta) to NYU through the Global Liberal Studies program. I might be missing something, but this just looks like spending a year in purgatory before MAYBE getting my desired major. For $70K/year? No thanks.
I knew my counselor rec was going to be generic and weak, since he has 400+ students and barely knew me. But after my train wreck of results (bonged everywhere but my state flagship, who HAD to let me in - and even they denied me admission to my chosen honors program), now I’m wondering if he pulled an “Orange County”.
Accepted to CAS with a scholarship and could not be happier! Is anyone here thinking of attending a Weekend on the Square event? Also are there any current psych majors here who’d like to share their experiences?
