Best of luck to you all!
@jorjimarie I have a 3.9 uw 4.63 w. 30 act. 100+service hrs but I have a job so not many ecs. was slightly disappointed at getting rejected but not at all surprised. just hope I get a chance at nyu!!
@kenzielouwho my stats are almost identical to yours, but I did get into GW. those acceptances were very strange this year. and honestly, I have no idea about NYU. one day i’m sure i’ll get in the next day i feel like I have no chance. I think we just have to wait until Thursday. but those stats are really good for LSP, so you probably have a good chance
Guys they sent out that email this morning and I almost had an anxiety attack I don’t think I’ll be able to handle the decision emails :((
@geiseln I feel the same!!! I don’t think I’ve been as worried about NYU until getting waitlisted at GW and American. Is LSP easier to get into? I applied to it because of its global programs
Are they telling you your decision via email, or just saying that your decision has been made and you need to log in to see it?
Say someone applied to Stern as a first choice and CAS second. Say they get rejected from Stern and then are being considered for CAS. Even if they’re more qualified than a person who put CAS as a first choice, would the person who put CAS as a first choice still get some sort of priority? Or no?
@PVequalsnRT I’ve gotten decisions back from 4 universities so far and it was always an email that had a link where you logged on and saw your admissions status!
Decisions will come out on the 31st via EMAIL, your portals won’t be updated with the decision until April 4th.
@PVequalsnRT @kenzielouwho I believe the decision will be in the email itself.
@knicksjets I have heard that CAS generally does not want Stern rejects. I know people who were qualified for CAS and put it as their second choice but were rejected.
I honestly wish it wasn’t by email. Rejection emails hurt the worst.
Does anyone have an idea of what time? Im already stressing the whole thing…now Im going to wait around on my phone allllll day thursday :(( ugh I just want to know now :((
@kenzielouwho From here: http://admissionsblog.nyu.edu/2016/03/29/decision-day/
“Decisions will be released in waves over the course of the day to minimize disruption to most (not all) school day time zones, meaning decisions will be released into the late evening hours and possibly into the early morning hours of April 1. We will make decisions available online through our NYU Albert student information system on Monday, April 4, or you can call us by phone on Monday and we will release your decision then.”
@scholar861 Okay thank you!
@kenzielouwho yes, LSP is probably a bit easier in terms of average test scores and GPAs than the other schools. that doesn’t take away from how good the program is, though. i made it my 2nd choice but i’ll be so happy if i get into it it’s such an excellent program
This is a weird question, but it appears I indicated CAS as my second option, when it’s already my first. Did I mess up my chances of acceptance?
Not sure what was going through my head at the time.
So they just e-mail the admission descions. Because I forgot my username/password for the portal.
@QrtyUiop I did that too, I think if anything it’ll show them that we really want to go to CAS. I don’t know if that’s just me being hopeful though.
gpa 3.8, sat 2240. hope i have a shot at stern. hate being asian applicant+international
