Accepted to Gallatin!!! I did have the housing change. Here are my stats if it matters to anyone now or next year:
GPA: 3.45 UW
ACT: 31
I was not allowed to read my recs, but I was lucky to have had them written by teachers who know me quite well.
I don’t consider myself much of a writer, so I chose to write about something that would make me comfortable––my love for school (which is incredibly central to my identity).
There are no APs offered at my school, so I took the classes that would either benefit me greatly in the future and/or the ones I knew would make me stretch my learning abilities.

@pizzaandpeonies I agree. NYU was reach for me - I had 3.2 with no AP classes but had other things that made me stand out - My essays were insanely good and original - also had great explanation of low grades which I turned into positive- just because you might have 4.0 you might be lacking in something else - accepting a bunch of 4.0 students is boring - some of the most brilliant leaders didn’t even go to college - so I think nyu has a great way of accepting students that they feel have potential that is demonstrated in other areas of their application - mine is a great example
I agree with @pizzaandpeonies I was at first not going to apply because I had lower than average stats (26 ACT 3.85 GPA) but my friends convinced me otherwise and I mean I couldn’t be happier now! So to any future applicants reading this that are hesitant to apply… just APPLY! You never know what could happen!

HELP!!! I got into NYU Shanghai (it was my secondary campus of interest), but I didn’t receive anything from NYU New York. It was my primary choice campus, but I don’t have a decision letter, no rejection or acceptance. When I interviewed for NYU Shanghai, the lady said you could get into both, but idk if this means I got rejected from the NYU New York campus??? I will call them

@SquadGoals I will let you know! Im very confused because I thought they would at least give us a rejection from New York… And I applied to several schools at the NYU New York Campus (as in, I put a few for my secondary interest) that were a lot easier to get into than NYUSH, such as CAS and LPS, and I would rather go to them than to NYU Shanghai!
@SquadGoals what did you get in scholarship and loans?
I guess we have to withdraw all of our other applications to other schools

I got into NYUSH and no letter from NYU as well. But I got 20K in scholarship and 40K in ED 2 Plus loans. @honorsstudent16
@ChloeMartinez I got into LSP! I initially applied to CAS but I mean I’m not complaining! I’m still going to NYU! And no I didn’t apply to HEOP
Crap, anyone know about how much the scholarship decreases if your EFC goes up?

My parent’s income goes from 70k to 100k in a year. So my scholarship amount could decrease substantially and i don’t want to if thats the case
