For the FA Change is it for the 2016 or 2017 year?
2017
@Banhkevin123 I think the change is as long as there is a table with years on it then it has “changed” cus my friend’s table had both 2016 and 2017 on it~
For those people who have not applied for FA, have you had any changes in Albert? I have had a checklist with everything checked (application fee, high school transcript, test scores) ever since I received my Albert account. Anyone have anything different?
@crownvic initially Albert didn’t have the SAT scores or Creative Sample (Tisch) checked. Someone from Tisch ReMu said sent an email saying they had receive everything correctly for ED and not to panic if things were uncheck because it takes about a week for them to update Albert. 3 weeks later, everything was checked.
And we did not apply for FA.
@crownvic I didnt apply for FA and nothing has changed … (yet?)… my checklist has always been all checked as well
Congrats to those who received the change already. For those who didn’t, there is still PLENTY of time to receive it. Like @deller123 said, it took until early December for me to get mine. People usually get them in waves so probably expect another wave in a couple of days and so on.
@NYUFan101 Wow even this have waves? LOL
I don’t imagine anything would happen in this Thanksgiving time though :))
its thanks giving … yet im obssesed with the FA change thingy
refreshing page whenever i get a chance to
i need to put my phone away…
Happy thanksgiving!
@NYUFan101 - Do you recall if anyone who got the To Do List Change got rejected? Got that but still no FA change!
:((
@IloveNYU7 man don’t be so desperate, it’s Thanksgiving
While I don’t mean to disappoint you, apparently everyone who applied to Financial Aid had the change in the To-Do list. Because theorotically that tab is used to track documents sent and received by their Office of Financial Aid. So NYU must update information on the tab otherwise there’ll be hundreds of emails coming their way.
So unless everyone who applied for Financial Aid will get accepted, yes, there will be those who have the To-Do list change but still rejected.
Thanks @ferrarivettel … i know, i know it’s just i have never wanted anything more in my life. i did NOT apply for FA. I DID get the To Do List change…but still no FA change with year… all i have is the Award Access Not Available. And did not apply for merit aid. so…maybe, it’s a start… Happy TG!
@IloveNYU7 What do you mean by “to-do list change”? Did you get the change in the paragraph?
yes…change in the paragraph…like i think it was a box before, and now it has the whole paragraph first.
@deller123…see above…and that’s it. no fa date …just award access not available. didn’t do merit or need aid.
can someone just post a picture of what they are talking about. describing it seems to just confuse people.
Same, I didnt apply for FA and I don’t have any changes yet.

For the correlation between FA change and acceptance decision, I did some research today on the NYU class of 2019 ED1 thread and found that:
1): Among 17 Applicants whose FA changed (in Nov and Dec), 16 got accepted with one status unknown,
2): Among 7 Applicants whose FA did not change, one got accepted with 6 rejected or unknown,
3); Among 3 Applicants whose FA status unknown, one got accepted with 2 status unknown. (I take that Unknown status of decision as a rejected one.)
I think that FA change is a GOOD indication for acceptance (YOU DO THE MATH). Keep up your high school work, nothing is final until you are accepted.
