********NYU ED Class of 2020 Discussion**********

@NYUFan101 That would put decisions coming out December 11th. I highly doubt they will be released that early.

Did anyone confirm my previous post if it was a FA change through the link I sent?
I have
“Aid Year Institution Aid Year Description
2016
New York University
Award access not available.”

in a columned box

I agree, it’s unlikely, but still possible. It all depends on the volume of applicants for ed1 this year

On my Common App under “My Colleges” I am able to see if recommendations have been submitted and dowloaded by the school. I am also able to see that my counselor submitted my school report and her own recommendation. However, it says nothing about the “ED Agreement” being downloaded. I’m concerned that she forgot to submit it on her end? Does your “ED Agreement” under the counselor section show as being downloaded?

@deller123 yes it shows as downloaded on my Common App. You should check with your counselor.

@deller123 definitely call nyu to see if they’ve received it and also talk to your counselor!

If I applied to ED1 CAS and get rejected, can I reapply to their LSP program at least?

nope you’re done. it’s one of the downsides to ed

Can you be offered a spot on their LSP program even if you didn’t initially apply for it on the application itself?

No, they’d rather offer the spot to somebody who applied (especially in ED because of the binding thing) than offer spots to random students just because they think the student qualifies. Besides, it’s not like they are in a rush to fill up positions in their Class of 2020. RD and ED2 are still there for evaluation.

What is this FA change people are talking about?

My counselor just submitted the early decision agreement today… I never heard anything for NYU directly about this not being submitted. Really concerned that this could have held my application up.

Ah guys ! Im an ED applicant to Nyu Cas… Super excited for December 15th but very nervous. Any one know what time the rejection/acceptance letters come? Is there a certain time for rejection letters- ah that’s so nerv wracking. I have awesome extra curriculars and outstanding community service with a great essay and a 94 out of 100 high school gpa. My SAT scores aren’t that great. And it sounds pretty competitive so I’m not sure what my odds are here. Anyways good luck to everyone ! This thread is really helpful with anxiety leading up to D Day(aka the 15th) lol anyone else?

@collegeJerome Just read back a couple pages for more specifics. Rejections come out in early morning in waves until early afternoon. Then acceptances.

early morning eastern time?

Hey guys, I was a regular decision admit last year into Stern and am willing to post my stats if anyone wants to know. Im sure you all will do well.

15 more days, guys!
Good luck to everyone!

Where’d you read that?

Has anyone gotten the FA change after the first wave? If so, CSS/no CSS?

@iywang not yet…

It’s only a few hours into the back-to-work-day after Thanksgiving. I think they didn’t even sit down to their work tables yet :)) maybe at the end of the day we’ll have news :-?
