********NYU ED Class of 2020 Discussion**********

CAS

Well, take this with a grain of salt as I am not an admissions officer, but I think your stats are a bit too low to be competitive for CAS.

Thanks

@collegeJerome I think ur grades arent on the higher end of the applicant pool but NYU does review applicants holistically so i definitely think acceptance is possible ~ good luck

@nero64 I did not apply for FA and also have not recieved the change yet.

Mine changed to

No self-service access for this aid year.

I applied ED1 under the Noncustodial CSS profile… However, it ended up being incomplete. So I’m confused as to if this aid change means anything?

@Crzcorgi that is the change believed to be the hint at admission. When did you get that change?

And what do you mean by “incomplete”? Did yiu submit an incomplete CSS?

Any non- CSSer?

Me. I didn’t receive a FA change did u?

I’ve been lurking and reading through the comments, but this is my first time posting. Is this the FA Change you guys were talking about? https://drive.google.com/open?id=0By9_nfFoQ_5sSXJaVUZDQXlNdU0

@rojb138, yes, it is. did you submit CSS profile?

Did u apply for financial aid but still get a change?

So far only people who submitted CSS received FA change. It is a myth…

@rochester123 @collegeJerome I did submit the CSS profile/ apply for financial aid. My chances looking good then?

@rojb138 yes, in the last years most people who got the FA Change got accepted, the minority who didn’t (get accepted) is mostly consist of international students if my memory serves me well. But the amount of Financial Aid awarded has nothing to do with how soon the “change” happen, many who just got it in the last days have way more scholarships than those having the change before Thanksgiving.

I was I had that change already :(( But I don’t think it’s gonna make me less anxious than I am now.

A better question might be - who submitted CSS and DIDN’T get the FA change?

It’s pretty well established by now that no one who didn’t submit CSS got the FA change.

@iywang I submitted the CSS, no FA Change.

I do have the To-Do List Change. but no FA Change.

I may already got rejected lol. But at this point, FA change or not isn’t going to make me less nervous. So I guess just play the waiting game. Luckily I was accepted to an afforable public school that is good in my major already, so definitely less worried than about a week ago.

@ferrarivettel there is a correlation between fa change date and amount of scholarship money awarded? or there isn’t? I’m slightly confused by the way you worded it

@rojb138 No, I believe not.

Called admissions…spoke to a ‘counselor’ not a student. He said admissions decisions come out on DEC 15th. I asked if it might possibly be earlier. Got a very firm, “NO.” For what that’s worth…
