********NYU ED Class of 2020 Discussion**********

Guys I’ve a question; so some people from years past have said that sometimes their school changes from, for example, CAS to LSP (implying that they were rejected from CAS and are being considered for LSP).

I’ve been unable to find this anywhere on my Albert. Where is it?

OK guys I’ve been looking around the NYU Admission Blog, and apparently, the way NYU makes decisions is state-by-state, or country-by-country if you’re not in the US.

Details can be found here: http://admissionsblog.nyu.edu/2015/03/10/committee/

So regarding the FA Change, if you or somebody from your high school or your state who got it, most likely decisions have been made for your state. If nobody had it, then rest assured, they haven’t touched your application yet.

@ferrarivettel What about applicants who have applied domestic (as in US citizen) but from a school outside the US?

@Crzcorgi I can’t find it either. I only have that I applied to New York City campus on my application status page.

@iywang…thanks@

@Crzcorgi…i actually called admissions about something in my application section and asked why it didn’t have the school to which i applied on it (i read what you read…) and they said they changed it this year and it just says the campus (ie…NYC, SH, AD…)

@horselover7 Maybe they’re finally fixing their glitches

thx for the info bud

@plsacceptmeplz apparently, they classify students by location of high school

@ferrarivettel Thanks! Does anyone know the order? I’m assuming Singapore is really late.

Can someone answer this question posted by Kmac1521

I just want to clarify with this whole “FA change” thing.

Does it change to:

“no self-service access for this year” or “Award Access Unavailable”

Which is the “good” one?

@jhirn2020 no self-service access with 2017

@jhirn2020 So EVERYONE’s FA status starts as “Award Access Unavailable”. So when “No self-service access for this year” shows up. It’s usually a potential indicator of acceptance.

So if I have that, what does it mean?

Yes, but ED2 from last year showed that there were a few domestic applicants with the FA change who actually did get rejections. So it’s not certain. They may have fixed it by now, since the schools aren’t showing up on Albert.

where did you find that out?

I stalked the Class of 2019 ED2 discussion thread

That’s an interesting discovery about the “school applied to” being only the “campus applied to” on Albert. That is definitely to resolve the glitch of people finding they were LSPed (accepted to their second choice school selection) before decisions came out. Hopefully they didn’t fix the FA change also…

oh ha… Ahh I want to know the final decision!

Even though NYU will say that decisions come out at a certain time, Albert simply cannot handle updating thousands of profiles at once. To minimize the possibility of Albert crashing, they have decisions set up on a timer and they end up going out in waves. Usually rejections happen from 1am to around noon, and then decisions will start at around 3pm.

Does anyone think that the decisions will come out on an earlier date?
