********NYU ED Class of 2020 Discussion**********

@chlxbb Haha thanks! but there are plenty of reasons for them to reject me. Stern requires you to be fabulous in math and I’m pretty consistently absolute bs at math. It’s one of my worst subjects. A large part of me is expecting a rejection from Stern. I also applied to Steinhardt, so maybe that’s what the FA change was for.

Which school are you applying to again? All the best!

I also applied to liberal studies

hey guys , i was wondering is the FA change accurate (or somewhat accurate) for international students? because I recall a few people mentioning that the FA change from previous years for international students and their admissions decision didn’t have that strong of a correlation compared to domestic students?

Heyyy guys, I applied to ED1 CAS for Economics. (International student in China)

But I dont think my Why NYU is good at all… :frowning:

Im not sure. I havent received FA change anyway…

damn, I was in class when the change happened. Guess I’ll never know what really went on with my FA change until the 15th!

I applied to CAS for English and I’m an international student who didn’t apply for FA, did not submit CSS.

@hermilabling heyy any chance ur part of like a 60 ppl nyu chat…hmmm if not just ignore this :stuck_out_tongue:

Im an international student (from australia)applied east asian studies at CAS. I did not submit CSS or anything cus i didnt apply for FA. However I did check during the “second FA wave” a few days ago however I did NOT get a change :frowning: im really really nervous now, im just hoping that the FA theory doesnt work for internationals … anyway we will find out in 9 days  good luck everyone.

@mishlll heyyyyy, you are 77michelle right?

@revenientis I didnt get the chance to check my FA as well since I was sleeping then.
Anyways I guess I will never know

8 days folks

@iywang omg if you got rejected I’d cry along with you…tbh i really did think the FA change meant something, but you’re right, it might have been for our second choice of interest.
I applied to Tisch film, and I put CAS as my second choice. But I’d be really, really disappointed if I couldn’t make it to Tisch :frowning:

@chlxbb Also a Tisch applicant, only Tisch. Got THE change the same time as you did. So it is might be possible, the FA office was processing Tisch acceptances last Friday?

@mishlll I believe the FA Change is weaker for international students in that some who got the change got rejected. I haven’t seen anyone, domestic or intl’, got in without an FA Change.

And “not as strong” isn’t “not applicable.” If you look at last year’s thread, you’ll see that the vast majority of intl’ students who got the change got in, with only a few exceptions.

With that said, there’s suppose to be another wave coming. And it looks like it’ll be “hidden”. So you can’t really know until Dec. 15th. Also, they must be confident with their Albert this year, because for the first time they’re releasing decisions via the portal. So maybe the glitch has been fixed? Keep your hope alive and good luck.

@remuwannabe oh yeahh LOL Thanks for reassuring! And I remember someone who called the admissions office said that they were trying to wrap things up last week. So there’s still hope!

anyone who’s applying to LSP and did not apply to financial aid get a fa change yet?

does anyone know what time the change usually occurs at?

@nyunyunyunyunyu just wait until decision day. you won’t even be able to see the change.

I’m pretty certain they have taken measures to hide the glitch. I took a look at the code for the page, and it is producing a generic page, rather than the actual data. So no one is going to see it until they are ready for you to see it, and change the code to generate the real page.
