********NYU ED Class of 2020 Discussion**********

@tandon2020 i’m from NJ. we’re both in the same region, so that might mean something?

@ranneyboy97 me too, man… it’s okay. keep your hopes up

“Once a new freshman undergraduate student has accepted admission to NYU, they will receive application instructions from our office and will be able to access the housing application on the NYU Home Housing Forms channel.” - Housing Section of NYU Website

^^^^^^
For them to send out housing info tomorrow makes sense they would have it prepared the night before. I am honestly thinking this is telling of something. Will be fun to find out tomorrow!

@blazingthrough go to page 27 on this PDF (pg 25 on actual papers) http://www. nyu.edu/content/dam/nyu/resLifeHousServ/documents/2011HousingGuide.pdf (remove space)

Reasons are listed as to why that status may be there.

NY here. Nonrenewable, so probably region based or nothing at all

@tandon2020 @blazingthrough I live in NJ too… Same region

hey I am from PA, and my friends and I both have nonrenewable xxxxxxxxxxxx @tandon2020 but I will not be sad if i don’t get in

Ohio, and nonrenewable, so that could be it

@grhanlon CT and have “freshman”

MA and “freshman Fall in NYC”

NJ, but i don’t have non-renewable

It probably means nothing because it could be a filler right now.

@deller123 it has just been active anywhere between noon and tonight. I have someone at Tandon who got in last yar RD who told me about this “change” (I guess?) so I was constantly checking Albert and NYU Home and NYU Housing.

Before this change, there was the Winter 2015 and Spring 2016 application, and my statuses for those applications both said “Non-renewable Undergrad”. They have just updated their site, removing the Spring and Winter application and put in this Fall one you’re seeing.

Something just came to my mind, to all of those who have “non-renewable” right now,did you tick the box that says “I want to live on-campus” when you applied to NYU? Maybe because of not ticking that box, you’re indicating you won’t be attending on-campus housing and so your status in “non-renewable”?

Or maybe they’re slowly assigning housing spots/application positions. Once again, this probably means nothing

@colleggal06, follow https://housing.nyu.edu/apply, click the last tab on the right Fall in New York City|Freshman||Green “Access Application” Botton and a new page will show up. You will have accesses to all the information people just talked about.
I apply Stern with FA change in the first round. I hope this is a good sign. My house preference is MN.

CA and “Fall in New York City”/“Freshman”

@ferrarivettel I still have both Winter and Spring at NYC, but I got into Precollege. I’m also pretty sure i checked the “live on campus” box

From NJ.
Got “Fall in NYC”
“Freshman”
Green Access Application button below Freshman.
MN on page 7
Also got the FA change on Dec 4 and then the default.

From Brooklyn. Got into Pre-College, didn’t attend. I have “Brooklyn Freshman” under housing. I think I applied for off-campus housing.

the PDF is mostly troubleshooting for those who completed applications the wrong way.

@remuwannabe does it say “Freshman” or does it say “nonrenewable undergraduate”?
