********NYU ED Class of 2020 Discussion**********

@blazingthrough did you have an FA change? Cause no one in my school had that either. So if u didn’t get it it may mean something.

@blazingthrough “Freshman” my kid applied but never completed the summer 2014 application so that shows up on Albert mobile but not the Albert site in the computer

From NJ. Pre College Student. “Fall in New York City”/“Freshman” Applied Tisch

I’m from PA and my housing says Fall in NYC Freshman.

From Massachusetts - Fall in NYC Freshman and I applied to Tisch for film

@tandon2020 i didn’t get the FA change. so does this mean people in this region wouldn’t get the FA change and also would be nonrenewable undergraduate?

From CT - Fall in NYC/Freshman, applied to Tisch

Congrats to those receiving Fall in NYC notifications. Sounds like you are in.

I have Winter, Spring, and Fall in NYC. And all have green “Access application” buttons. But it says nonrenewable undergraduate. Does that mean anything?

International and “Fall in New York City”/“Freshman”

@16eforeman Woah, cool! I’m also from MA and applied to Tisch for film! What part of MA are you from? I know you probably don’t want to say your specific town on the internet but like Western MA, near Boston?

Idek man, don’t listen to @NYUFan101. I doubt he has much basis for this, and now people are just making assumptions.

Didn’t receive FA change (but I did miss that small window)
From NJ - “Fall in NYC/Freshman”
Applied to Tisch

@NYUFan101 At this point, nothing is certain. I think there are once again too many people here with it, and I really don’t think it means anything

Internation applicant. I have the “freshmen” and my friend has “non-renewable” What could this mean…

Who knows if this housing means anything, anyways. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow!

I don’t want to be mean to anyone, really, but if you have “non-renewable” then you don’t have the guaranteed housing option for NYU Undergraduates, which is weird. That’s why I asked if people checked the “live on-campus” option on Common App, because if you checked the box, and they accept you, and not give you guaranteed housing while giving it to others, then it would be extremely awkward.

Anyone of interest can check out last year’s RD thread, which also discussed the “Housing Change”. It’s hundreds of pages and I didn’t have time to do my research thoroughly.

But remember, if they are going to release decisions at 5pm tomorrow EST, then they literally have a full work-day to do any preparations for the release. If this housing thing means anything (which I think it does) then you still have a whole day to receive it.

Good luck.

@blazingthrough It seems that way. Since they do applications by state and by region. We just may be the last to be filled in and reviewed. Anything seems possible. However, 4 people applied ED from my school this year and is extremely unlikely that we would all be denied, and in the past 2 or 3 years, 8 people applied ED and only one got rejected(he applied Stern makes sense).

I don’t think this means anything. Everyone has a different thing showing up on their screen. It’s possibly determined by what and where we chose as our housing, and our personal profile. Fingers crossed though :)>-

@ferrarivettel Me and two of my friends who applied, same school, all checked “living off campus, but not at home” for my housing choice. @blazingthrough did you do the same? This question goes out to all who have the non-renewable status. This may mean nothing at all or something.
