Checking every single minute, too stressful.
mine doesn’t have DC for spring 2019. I think everyone else has. idk if that is ok. like I have the 2019-2020 I’m pretty sure I’m fine but just in case
did anyone who did not want housing still have the message?
Is anyone not able to get into the housing now?
Honestly, I think we should all stop looking for indicators. If I found something and assumed it was an indicator that I got accepted and then found out that I didn’t tomorrow, I’d feel like crap.
@bleh1234 I agree
Hey guys…I’m an EDII applicant but I just thought I’d jump in and say good luck! I know past years people called in to ask their decision but I wouldn’t recommend or do that myself incase the worse occurs. Plus it stops the Admissions Committee in their process of releasing decisions being that I believe the release decisions in ‘waves’ as they do in RD and not all at once due to making sure Albert isn’t over flooded with activity and crash is avoided.
Once again, good luck !
my anxiety just SPIKED knowing we are getting deicisions in less than 24 hours im gonna perish
I was reading an article from nyulocal from way back when lol, but they said in the article that the rejection letters usually come first, and in waves. Apparently some rejection letters came in as early as 1 am…but that the acceptance letters were released at the exact time they said they would be.
also, is the link http://housing.nyu.edu/newyork working for you guys? It won’t load for me…
@aves2023 same oml idk what to do and I don’t think I’ll be sleeping tonight haha, I’m too nervous!
@mochimoon you have to go to housing.nyu.edu/apply first and then when that pages change the “apply” to “newyork” to make it housing.nyu.edu/newyork for some reason it only works this way.
@mochimoon I read that article as well. I’m not sure if that’s true being that Admissions hasn’t commented on such but then again why would they? People would know their fate without opening their email or portal. What are you applying for btw?
@sagh527 ah okay, I’ll try that out
@ayeitztasha yeah thats true. I’m applying for CAS in Psychology as my first choice but also applied for the LSP (core) and for global health: applied psychology in Steinhardt…idk what to do now haha. What about you?
@mochimoon I applied for MCC in steinhardt and as a second choice the GLSP. I nervous since December SAT scores come out on Saturday and I need them to be strong cause last years of high school were bleh. I’m currently in Zambia but I’m a permanent resident. Counselor at American school in Zambia said I’d be considered a international although I’m a citizen in all aspects. She believes it will give an edge but idk ??♀️ Applied for FA and put down about 10 activities for extracurriculars.
@ayeitztasha same haha, I filled those activities real quick. I think living in Zambia would give you an edge though, because you get to have experiences there that no one here would have, thats pretty cool though!
Does this seem like a hook to you guys? I worked as a server and manager for my family’s restaurant since I was 11. I basically began to manage all operations of the restaurant at age 14. I never had time to do anything else. I worked about 37 hours per week and every day after school and on the weekends.
@stevenj17 It depends for what school you’re applying too I think
I applied to Stern for accounting for ED 1. I am so scared right now. I am also an assistant manager at another restaurant. I work 2 jobs to help support my family. I’m Asian too if that helps. Idk :-] @mochimoon
