@stevenj17 I think that’s a hook. Just depends on how it’s presented. For my personal statement I spoke about being disabled and my blissful ignorance I had from growing up in NY from a young age until 16 and moving back to Zambia and how I got a wake up call and how I choose to be a voice for future generations like myself who may not have the support from family and friends as I did.

@mochimoon Did that link not work? When the housing.nyu.edu/apply page loads you have to change it to /newyork and then reload it. then you click on “application” and there should be something that says “academic year 2019-2020”
