lol CAS English major here my portals been the same since I first applied!!! I love life
for my fellow CAS applicants, I just got accepted into CAS and I do not believe I was a competitive applicant, at least academically and it said that they use grades as their primary decision making factor so I don’t know how that happened. Plus I am an international applicant, automatically putting me at a disadvantage. I just wanted to put it out there since some of y’all were getting discouraged by their delay, so hang in there.
what was your gpa
@madisonmcg we don’t really do GPAs here in Canada so I’m gonna quote percentages.
First Sem College average: 85%
Overall high school GPA was in the low 80s as well. It’s just that I got mostly 60%-70%'s in my senior year because of some health complications so I was really worried about that.
SAT: 1420 (super scored)
But I was a nationally ranked debater for quite some years so perhaps that made up for the deficit.
@saderobinsonacts Congratulations! Would you mind sharing some stats for us anxious ppls?
Were those who’s been accepted able to pay their housing deposit via esuite before hand ?
@iatatpgchfe Dude, you have no idea how nervous I’ve been all month. This decision is bigger than any of the ones I’ve gotten prior (I wasn’t nearly this nervous for Cornell). If this helps you any, I’ve been constantly telling myself to sit back and let things happen. Legit have it sticky noted to my desk in red pen lol
Can you still apply for housing or was there a deadline?
@DaSquirrel007 @campach since we’re all CAS psychology, you guys wanna link up?
@brightplaces Your interpretation of the text is definitely correct. It says one week under my acceptance letter too. I feel like only having one week is not enough time to make such a big decision on which school to attend
@Kodi80 People kept asking and I was super confused and thought that I just wasn’t reading it correctly (y i k e s). The nerves must be getting to me. I agree with your analysis of the situation (especially as I have not yet received all of my decisions and would like to avoid putting down a deposit and losing the money). I will be asking for an extension after sorting some logistics out. Feel free to pm me and we can chat!
Is the extension form available anywhere online or would we have to call in and then proceed henceforth?
@brightplaces not sure how to private message but the nerves are also getting to me haha. When looking at the admitted student page it still says two weeks so this must be something they just implemented with this wave of acceptances.
Thank you !!!
Congrats to those who got in yesterday and today!
I think that settles those of us in Tisch who haven’t received their decisions yet lmao; but it’s been a wild ride!
@Dudu123456 Yo man, don’t just stomp all over a man’s dream like that! Reality don’t gotta hit until I get the letter saying otherwise lol
Hi everyone!
Been reading these since April 1st and just wanted to share a few things.
Accepted today at around 6:30 PM. My zoom status was “Member” so from what I see the zoom status has nothing to do with it. My Albert page showed the cost breakdown the night before and I couldn’t see my transfer report.
Stats: 2.8 High school GPA, 3.6 College GPA, 27 ACT
I am currently a sophomore at a NYC school so I was never asked for a midterm report. I had pretty solid recommendations and fairly strong essays.
If anyone has any questions about anything feel free to ask!
I’m rooting for all of you and congratulations to everyone who got in. Looking forward to hopefully meeting you in a classroom or a zoom call!
Hey guys, I got accepted into Tisch yesterday for the drama major as a Transfer applicant. Where can I see my studio?
CAS - politics, nothing yet
fingers crossed the rest of us receive acceptances today!!!
